On a sunny day, the snow melts.
  • Yet still the question remains: if you collect that melted snow into precisely one half of a water glass is your glass half empty or half full? The answer remains as elusive as the release date for Bond 25.

As far as I know, that wasn't tequila. That was some kind of a cognac. :D

    1,000 dollar Cognac, don't forget.

Yes! Barber could have said "we're in no rush to begin development. There will be another Bond film........someday"

My only concern is that MGM lost $48M from Ben Hur, was Barber's comment a enticement to shareholders to bear with, knowing that Bond will bring them cash? i.e here is the bad news, now for some good..

The way in which Spectre was funded became quite comical as you had money from all angles funding it including MGM, Sony, Mexican Government and private investors. MGM are clearly not going to finance Bond 25 alone, if Sony are on distribution again and their money is propping it up, we could see more of the nonsense we saw on Spectre with fall outs over what product placement and how much XYZ are receiving for holding XYZ product. I wasn't comfortable with Sony's involvement in Spectre it felt a little like "we are paying for this, so we are in charge". As a life long fan of the franchise I am strong believer in what is shown in the films has to be creative choice. I admire Dan for initially refusing to use the Sony phone in Spectre citing "It is not the best, Bond would only use the best" Ok Sony went to the drawing board and released a new model, but it's an example of what I am talking about. Therefore I am hoping for someone other than Sony to secure the tender for Distr. rights.

Turning to the positives it is an indication of progress. I would expect to see a majority of the Spectre cast return. Barber's comments can be backed up by those of Barbs who did say in March they would restart the process. It is an exciting time, I can't wait until we find out, who is writing it, Directing it. I suppose you need a script and funding in place before you can get the director on-board that you want.

Great news! As the next step, fire Craig. Now. We need to go back to basics.

Agree. He's a superb Bond. I just can't get my head around why some hate him so much, although it's plainly evident (box office, critics etc.) the wider audience really like him. But I guess, each to their own.

Hey, let's not go there or this topic could go way of subject .

I love Dan in the role, for me he saved Bond and brought it up to date, I have followed every interview, through every film and it clear he bought in to the Bond world and made it his own by having a say over story, wardrobe etc. rather than just turn up and read the lines.

However some will say it changed too much from the Bond they grew up and loved, I understand and respect their views too :P

Nothing wrong with an action man of the sort we had in TND.

I agree. TND is the last film in the Bond franchise that I think of as a tradtional Bond film. That's almost 20 years ago...

Other than Casino, he hasn't really been given a traditional Bond Solo adventure, as they say you can't polish a jobbie, but Credit to Craig his performances have outshone some weak writing. With it likely he will do at least one more I hope they really give him the big adventure Bond story he deserves.

Agreed. TND was just a straightforward Bond film with just enough drama with Paris. Brosnan was so much more mature and assured in TND than GE. No clue why it gets all the hate.

The problem with TND is that the 2nd half is just all action - which hopefully won't be the case with Bond 25.

As a huge fan of the film, I agree. Right after Hamburg wraps up, the film somewhat goes down the hill. But, still... Loved the climax. Not a big fan of the bike chase other than the great music it had playing in the background.

    Anyway, back to Bond 25.

Has it really been a long time since this? Bond had aimbot on in Spectre.

HISHE did say the shootout on the surface of Blofeld's lair seemed like playing GoldenEye 007 on Agent level.
