All I want is a bond film in the vein of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.. small but important stakes bond not sure who he can trust or what the entire plan is etc

How this is near impossible in 2016 I have no idea... oh and can we get away from 1 word titles for a while please I would love for them to have the balls and use The Hildebrand Rarity.. or The property of a lady or the rough with the smooth...

How perfect would this be for Blofeld's Castle from YOLT?

    Omg, YES.

That is simply a stunning location!!! :-O

How would they know though.....UK tabloids lie.

Barbara called the editor and told him they were in full panic mode.

:)) Your sense of humour does slay me sometimes, @Thundy.

They need to look back to 1995, Goldeneye was the last Bond film ever made that relied on a good tight script with very little personal drama. There starting to go to far with it. Craig has never made a critcically acclaied Bond film that involved no personal drama, ironically Spectre would be his closest to a Goldeneye type film. The first hour of CR would also be the exception.

CR & SF are great but they are too personal

I agree 100%, @Tucker great post. The personal aspect was there is Goldeneye, but it didn't really interfere with or overwhelm the story, besides the beach scene which I personally think served as a nice, quiet interlude before the finale.

Hopefully they snatch Campbell back anyway, so it won't be a problem. He has a great sense for this stuff.

Yes that's pretty much true. GE was a well crafted Bond film.
I didn't really mind the personal drama in the other Broz films though. It didn't overwhelm, even if it was a tad contrived. Broz-Bond still soldiered on, on mission.

I don't think it is likely that Campbell would return, but I do think there are certain things which would at least make him consider it. One would be if they got a new actor that he sees potential in. However, it still depends on whether EON actually want him back. Perhaps they just want to move on from Campbell, or maybe they really do want to work with the Bond reboot guy once more before he gets too old. You have to admit he has given them some of their best success they're had over the last 30 years, both critically and commercially. Either way, none of us can truly answer the question of just how much EON would want Campbell back.

Come to think of it, you could probably re-edit the last 1/3 of CR to remove the romance between Bond and Vesper and just show it as a causal relationship gone rogue. However that would not be true to the book.

Agree - I don't expect much before DC's play closes. March sounds reasonable.

MGM hosts a conference call at the end of each quarter to discuss investor relations. More often than not, Bond has a presence.

Be nice if on this next conference call we get some actual information regarding a date B25 as opposed to it will be out sometime in the next few years.

Hildebrand was already in Spectre lol property of a lady could be good you could have something that bond has to get that is the property of an actual lady..

    Merry Christmas, Bond fans!

I had a dream that one of my Christmas gifts was confirmation from EON & DC that Daniel will be returning for one more film in 2018. I guess one can really dream huh? Haha

After seeing Man from UNCLE I am now convinced Guy Ritchie could do fun Bond. He understands action and knows how to do dark humor extremely well, which is somewhat of a underrated element of James Bond movies.
