An old article from Bamigboye that we missed. He hints that Craig is coming back but then does backtrack on it a little.
I remember there was a video clip around the time SF released, from Jimmy Kimmel I think, where he was interviewing random people on the street asking them about Bond. He spoke to a woman who had recently seen Craig on Broadway, and she said, "He looked like old cheese!" =))
I dont
I don't know why some people are so against character movement but I do think that it should be largely confined to Bond and the people he meets during the course of his mission. Enough with M and Penny! They should also stay put in their offices. We had great, interesting character development in the Fleming books and not just concerning Bond, so why not in the films? Bond is a melancholic, brooding character, at least in the books and it is good that they capitalized on this in the Craig era but it should be kept to a minimum for the next few installments. Bond wasn't like this in all the books.
...starting to wane? On these boards or in terms of the universal, general cinema attendees?
Some have suggested that Campbell should be working with a new Bond. Why not with Craig again? They seemed to work well together on Casino Royale so why not again? CR is a great Bond movie too.
The answer is twofold I suspect:
a) After the tiredness of Spectre and especially with the growing gaps between films, I think some are done with the Craig era—as much as they may have respected and enjoyed him in his time—and would like the breath of fresh air of someone new.
b) It would just be cool to see Campbell debut three Bonds in three awesome movies.
And to bring a totally 'younger attitude' Bond in SP really does indeed make it a waste, and irrelevant.
The more Craigbond's films get scrutinised, the more holes appear alas.
Yes a tad overhyped
True. After two films of 'rookie' Bond we immediately got the 'old dog'. We never really got to see Craig's Bond at his prime as double-o.
Indeed. I have a few requests for B25, but chief among them is no more auteurs (I'll make an exception for Nolan as long as he's put on a tight leash). Also, make sure he (she)'s signed up for two films at the very least. It's time we get back to the Connery/Moore era of having the same chap do two in a row for consistency of vision. They can shake it up with the third if they want, à la GF or TSWLM.
He had a chat with Barbara Broccoli in 2012.
If he is to do the debut of the next two Bonds as well, he will be 100 years old.
Hey, if the spirit and body are both willing...
