@Mendes, you are joking right? As the man said, you've drawn your own conclusions.

There's a name for that phenomenon. It's called "The Oyelowo Smile".

@Mendes, I just bashed my head against a concrete wall several times. Now I see what you're saying... It all makes perfect sense now... (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

So you think David Oyelowo smiling in that Colbert interview somehow indicates that Turner has been cast? Interesting.

Er, no, but did you notice how everyone suddenly thought that Craig had decided to come back after Oyelowo smiled in that interview? If not, I can always find the comments and show them to you. That's the definition of drawing your own conclusions, wouldn't you say?

Firstly there's no sense in arguing because literally nothing has happend with bond so far, secondly aiden can't be cast because he looks like a child

@JamesBondKenya, I think there is more happening on Bond 25, as @RC7 has suggested.
And if I was a betting man, the fact that DC hasn't relinquished the role, Babs just produced his last play and loves him more than Cubby loved Moore, he's meeting with Omega (he's only a plausible face for them as Bond, not as DC the actor), that his latest effort for United Nations includes meeting him and an Aston Martin, IF I was a betting man, I would bet my house, my three kids and my two golden retrievers that we have not seen the last of DC as 007

    @PanchitoPistoles any bets? ;)
  • re: MGM date. Last year, it was on or around March 24. IF MGM keeps to a similar schedule, it'd be on or around March 23.

re: Purity start date. IF it's Aug. 1 (as mentioned earlier in this thread), then it's going to take up pretty much the rest of 2017.

Hey, @dominicgreene, I said IF I was a betting man... But, what the hell.. I'll take on all bets (I may only be 43, but all my kids are teens, so if I lose, I win!)

So are you saying the earliest Craig could film would be like Jan 2018

He's not bad actually. A bit of a sleazebag on screen, but I like the guy in GoT. He should at least be a villain of sorts.

Aidan Gillen is a fantastic actor. He had a very brief part during the "LTK" opening of The Dark Knight Rises, too. I'd love to see him in a Bond film, and as I see others have mentioned, the first thing that came to mind was, wow, he'd have been a much better Denbigh than Scott. But I would want a much better role for him. Some kind of supporting villain or even a dubious ally part would be great. Here's hoping.

Denbigh should have been more near Mallory's age, watching it Friday night his performance is so one note.

Fiennes needed someone with more dramatic weight to act up against, Gary Oldman would have been dream casting for that role but he wouldn't have been the villian from the get go like it's so obviously sign posted in SPECTRE.

Aiden Gillen definitely would have been a improvement over Scott, is sneering was so annoying, it was like Moriarty dialed down to 3.

Andrew Scott I know can be a good actor but I think when it comes to villains he only has one performance and he just riffs on that, much better in a drama with something real to play.

It's like Waltz I think on paper it was thought, well we have the 2 time Oscar winning actor to play Blofeld, envisaging something along the lines as iconic as Han Landa when what we got was something less threatening that Dominic Greene, infact I much preferred Almaric's DG.

The plot was overly complex with too many strands and not enough rigour in the writing. A hallmark of the Mendes era.

I feel Mendes finds it very difficult to decide what he wants to focus on. It's like he's always trying to cram an extra half a movie in. He needs to learn to cut stuff out and demand tighter writing.

For all the criticism of QOS it's virtue is that it doesn't try and do too much. Relatively simple plot. And I like Almeric's performance. He did the best he could with the material. Underrated villain and movie IMO.

And that would be perfect for a late 2018 release. SPECTRE started filming at mid-december 2014

Because there's nothing to be said, since nothing is really going on. Anything past that is spammy, and thankfully people have held off on posting while nothing concrete has been happening.
