Perhaps that's why no development has been made yet? Bond is still looking for his passport before he can finally carry on with his job.

It's the plot. Wes Anderson directing.

This is the 2nd alumni from the pre-Mendes era who's recently thrown out a cryptic Bondian hint (the other being Wright). Make of that what you will.

Olga Kurylenko also tweeted a throw back pic from QoS last month.

Her cover photo, though... Good God, she's beautiful. :D

I wouldn't get excited about anything, however. Nothing's in the cards, so far.

It would be an interesting curve ball to bring back Camille and not Madeline.

Next you'll be calling Michelangelo "slowpoke". The Sistine Chapel ceiling took 4 years, that's about as long as Bond 25 should be. It's only a waste of time if they don't deliver.

You're seriously trying to compare the Sistine Chapel to a Bond movie? Lol wow.

Whats more depressing is how keen some people seem to be to embrace a 4 year gap. When it gets to 10 years between films will people still be backing EON and saying they need a rest?

Keep in mind I dislike the breaks between films as much as you

in all honestly in a perfect world the Craig Era would look like this

Casino Royale 2007 (honestly they should of released the film January 2007 how could they have missed a year that screams 007)
    Quantum of Solace 2008
The Property of a Lady 2010 (directed and co written by Tony Gilroy)
    Skyfall 2012
The Death Collector 2014 (here we meet the head of Quantum whether it's Mr White or a new character I could care less)
    The Hildebrand Rarity 2016
A Whisper of Hate 2018 (the end of Quantum and that saga)

and then give us a spectre trilogy with Michael Fassbender (my preference is directed by Mcquarrie and co written by him but meh)
    Spectre 2020
    Risico 2022
    Blofield 2024

Like I said if we are going to play Monday morning quarterback sorry Spectre should of been introduced with a new actor and Quantum should of just been Craig's Spectre and had a series of 6-7 films to develop and be destroyed similar but no exact to Smersh in the early fleming novels.

but that is playing Monday Morning Quaterback as it stands MGM has no interest in a distribution deal EON can't move without them and are trying to keep the bond name a float by throwing it to whatever company can make it the most public (as the gambiling licence and glu showcase) which is a shame but meh Could I do better then EON maybe maybe not but I am not them and they are not me I don't live in a perfect world I live in this one... at least I have new adventures of MacGyver to enjoy Season 2 starts 9/29

What on earth is 'Monday Morning Quarterback'?

    Thank you.

I think he means with the benefit of hindsight so I guess the civilised equivalent would be something like 'Carra and Gary Nev at full time'?

Please folks if we're going to use sporting analogies please make sure they are footballing ones.

Thank you, now I understand completely.

Well my translation is only a guess. I'm glad to say I barely speak a word of NFL apart from 'The Refrigerator'. Pretty sure he's the greatest player of all time or something.

    You're correct.

In American football, the quarterback throws passes and is in charge of the offense.

When fans second guess the choices their teams made, it's referred to as "Monday morning quarterbacking."

The Refrigerator wasn't the greatest player of all time. But he certainly was one of the largest.

Indeed. Perhaps Camille learns that it was actually Blofeld who was ultimately the author of her pain, and not Medrano.

Or maybe Bond's in a funk, just after breaking things off with Madeleine, and he's getting stinking drunk in a bar somewhere to "cleanse" her from him.

A blast from his past strolls in, the woman he had to let go at one time, since he had no room for her in his life.

Was it a coincidence Camille found him? Or does she need him for something? Is she the catalyst that has Bond go back to MI6?

Or maybe just wishful thinking on my part...

someone in that twitter account thread:

... noticed that DC-Bond's birthdate (as seen in the passport), is now 1972, which would make this agent 44-45...

... So if DC did return, the actor is 49, but the character (and DC's a good athlete/lifter; he'll be able to get back into top-form), will only be mid-40s...

... That's a thing that makes me go "hmmm..."

... and more wishful thinking-- SPECTRE's world premiere was on Monday October 26, 2015. Bond has been released in these autumn October/November months since the Brozzer days...

... Bond's birth day, according to the passport is Nov 11...

    ... November 11, 2019 is on a Monday...

... is EoN and Omega giving us subtle clues??--

... Bond's 1972 birthdate, making him mid-40s (not late 40s/early 50s like the actor playing him)...

...the fact they're using DC as the face of Bond (if he's already quit, as some people believe, they could have just as easily used the 007 insignia, instead of an actor's face??)...

... Nov 11 is a comfortable world premiere date for a Bond film, with it being released the following Friday in North America...

... or am I sounding a little too much like my friend @Mendes4Lyfe ?...

... I won't let the door hit me on the way out...

Clutching extremely desperately at straws there Sir.

The more logical reason for Nov 11th as Bond's birth date is that this is what John Pearson stated as the date in the authorised biography and in the absence of a date from Fleming is the closest to canon that we have.

In Casino Royale his birthday was April 10. 1 day off my own birthday which sucked.

Why they keep changing his birthday and age is anyone's guess.

I agree @TheWizardOfIce , but you must give full credit to how I linked one unrelated strand to another? The sense of desperation is one where you should pity me, give me a pat on the head, and tell me to run along and play in the traffic.

(on a serious note: I love Pearson's biography-- good catch).

To be fair though anyone conversant with Pearson's biography cant be all bad.

I always thought they took the year Craig was born in for some reason? I googled, but came up empty, other than this site (http://jamesbond.wikia.com/wiki/James_Bond_(Daniel_Craig); they go with Craig's year, but April 13 (which is not Craig's birth day).

I thought M wrote his age in SKYFALL in the obit scene?

However, I believe I read the new time line would have a Bond born in '68... But now I'm not confident in the grey matter-- it may be playing tricks again...

CR's official website had a 'Bond Dossier' that listed 1968 as Bond's birth year.

They released a press release for CR when they did the reboot with a mugshot of DC stating 1968 (pretty sure that was the date. Can anyone dig out a picture?)

Now its suddenly 1972? Or maybe 1971? At the current rate of progress they'll have to readjust it to about 1983 if Bond isnt to be 75 in the next film.
  • P&W on the screenplay...

Jeffrey Wright and Olga Kurylenko both posting QoS pics...

    David Arnold tweeting Bond...

We just need Marc Forster to announce he's directing and we may be looking at the best film in Craig's era!

But realistically, P&W is nothing new; Wright and Kurylenko may just be feeling nostalgic, this being the 10th anniversary of shooting QoS; and David Arnold obviously snapped the photo of Bond's passport at the Omega event—nothing unusual or suggestive there.

Sadly, I don't think any of this means Quantum of Solace 2: Quantums of Solace is in the cards.

I thought the Craig Bond's DOB was April 13 (month and day of the CR novel's publication date), 1968 (Craig's birth year)? I thought it was defined that way.

    Wasn't Craig's Bond pre-SPECTRE born in Berlin?
Post-SPECTRE, he has a different birth date and was born in Glencoe.

EON have made their decision and the verdict is to go back to the drawing board. A smart move if you ask me. Maybe Dan just has a passion for cinema beyond Bond, or maybe EON are pressured to find a new actor, or maybe the decision is mutual across all parties. Don't expect to hear anything official on the matter this year. If we do hear something it'll be Daniel Craig is departing Bond, maybe because rumours are leaked and EON hand is forced. There's no telling how long this process has been in motion - could be up to or over a year. All we know is that Bond will return, and that should provide us the solace we yearn for as fans.

So if that's the case why is DC's face all over this 'new' Bond's passport?

I think the more obvious answer is that EON are making things up as they go along as per usual.
