Yes, but this time they're still deciding whether to do a global release on November 6th, or a UK date of October 23rd followed by a North American release of November 6th.

    No.
SONY UK and SONY Germany mailed me (as you can read in this thread) that the UK release will be on Oct 23rd and always was planned to be on Oct 23rd.

There will be no global release on Nov 6. That date was always only meant to be for the US. The guy who played the presenter at the press event on December 8 just got it wrong. And after that everybody thought the movie will come out globally on Nov 6.
But that will not and never was the case.
There are lots of different dates around the world.

It will be released on October 23 in London, the Shetlands will get it on November 6, and every other place sometime between those two dates. :bz

Doesn't help that Sony and Eon are saying different things.

    007.com are stating:-

Well disappointed but not surprised. Hope you all enjoy your early release and please be respectful to your fellow Bond fans around the world when it comes to spoilers :)

I don't think it's people here that others need to worry about. Those having to wait until November need to tread and surf carefully in general because reviews and reactions are going to be plastered everywhere. Some media outlets are notorious for being careless or simply don't give a flying fudge about spoilers and this is especially so for those understandably active in wanting to read impressions. Your best bet is to find the nearest cave or dig a hole and remain there until November 6th.

    Exactly my plan.

I think any discussions will be in clearly marked threads and members here will respect others enough not to spoil their enjoyment in the wrong threads.

Let's for a moment assume the "Stars" will be at the Royal Albert Hall on the evening of the 26th.
    ..
It will be possible to line the red carpet and then pop along to see the film on one of the many central London regular cinema screenings an hour or so later. Having pre booked of course.
    ..
Any idea what time in the evening such red carpet events take place? Also how far in advance will it be possible to book at a regular screening such as Leicester Square on the 26th October.
    ..
There will be one hell of an atmosphere in central London and a stroll from RAH to LS through Kightsbridge and along Piccadilly would only take about 45 minutes.

    I love walking through London - that's actually a brilliant idea @Giugiaro.

If I remember correctly, the Skyfall Premiere started about 5pm (BST) at the Royal Albert Hall (celebs start arriving) though if you want a good view, you should arrive much earlier in the day to get a good position, and everyone would have been seated for a 7.30 showing?

    Thanks JC.
Monday 26th is the start of half term holidays in much of the UK. Very good timing if one is trying to break some box office records.
From a personal point of view it clashes with family holiday plans !

obviously they haven't updated yet, though their running time estimation leaves a lot to be desired... Ballpark figure? More like just pick a number, from 0-∞

    Looks like I was wrong.

I do hold a little resentment against those Brits who were hoping for this. If someone told me I could see spectre before everyone else I'd say no-i want to experience it together. I plan on avoiding mi6 from the 26th to 5th (when I plan to go to the Hong Kong premiere with my Bond girl).

    I would say that's a solid plan.

Thanks. I'm assuming the mainland China premiere may be significantly later like it was for SF. Hence the trip to HK.

About World Premieres in London: Can anyone tell me how it works? It's usualy an invitation only event or you can by tickets to attend?
It depends if it's a charity premiere - where the public can buy tickets but they'll cost a lot (goes to good causes), or a general premiere - which aren't usually open to the public unless through competitions and invitations.

Anyone can attend the red carpet to see the stars entering, usually able to get autographs and photos if lucky (Daniel Craig took a selfie with me at the Casino Royale premiere at the red carpet).

Attending the RC is quite the experience.
