Connery did it twice better in FRWL in the train & DAF in the elevator, and they were better edited too. ;)
Both of those fights are fantastic, but like I said, Slate vs. Bond wins it for me. The DAF one is great, I just don't like how it ends.
I mostly agree, although I am not a huge fan of the plane scene. Too CGI for my liking. I think the opera sequence is the best in any Bond film since LTK though.

Awesome opening.
I love QOS in part BECAUSE it seems raw, fast paced & slightly unfinished. It reminds me of Dr. No in many ways.
@dalton, I also see it as possibly Craig's best (although CR has grown on me). I think the pacing definitely works in its favour - whereas CR and definitely SF are sort of bloated and overlong.

Check out my 'live chat' of sorts in the 'Last Bond Movie You Watched.' I probably had two or three complaints. I've loved that film since day one.
I loved it when from day one as well. I remember leaving the theater after Casino Royale thinking that it was easily the best Bond film they'd made in a while (which it was), and that it would be difficult to top it, but I thought they really pulled it off with Quantum of Solace. Like @Getafix said, it lacks the bloated nature of Casino Royale, which I've long argued could lose the first half and be a better film, and Skyfall.
As others have already said, the real standout was the Tosca sequence. Still, for my money, one of the very best sequences in the entire Bond franchise.
I still believe that QoS works very well in terms of what it sets out to achieve - a pacy, entertaining, little adventure. It lacks the grandeur of CR and pretensions of SF, but is no worse off for that. I respect it for its simplicity.
And most of all it has one of the very few down to earth/believable spy plots in the franchise and the least plotholes since TWINE (which I -contrary to public opinion -saw and still do see as the best movie since FYEO. Mind you there were quite a few, which could have been great, but in the end non of them really made the cut)
I'm waiiiiitinggggg.
I've been waiting since...*checks watch*...2008! If it hasn't by now, it will never see the light of day. An extended cut, some deleted scenes (such as explaining the different areas/outfit Bond visits during the finale, unless those were just test promo shots), more special features, etc., I would snap this up in a heartbeat if it was ever released. I can't believe the alternate ending is out there somewhere, and we won't see it.
It's been five years since the film was released on DVD and blu-ray, and with the recent 50th Anniversary, I honestly don't see it happening. I want it to, but I doubt it will.
Oh, I'd pay real money for THAT.
I try and avoid comments like that when even talking about DAF or DAD.
There was just a fast, brief moment where giving up crossed his mind- then NO, eff that!
Man, I really do love that flick.
I mean it literally. The end is the best part of the film. I think the fight with Greene is the best moment of action and the Yusuf confrontation is the best moment, period.
And that it was a short film.
I personally don't get the fuss about the ending, but for some reason even those who dislike the film seem to rate it. And I do actually think the shorter running time was a good thing. CR was overlong.
