I suppose it most likely happened during a Q&A, if it happened at all, but if you have ever been able to talk to a celeb, please tell us about it. Could be interesting. ;;)

My list isn't all that impressive, I'm sorry to say, though I cherish the moments.

John - Felix Leiter - Terry: terrible experience for a Bond fan like myself

Michael Ironside: who called himself a pacifist, someone who doesn't believe in guns. It was a very good conversation, mostly concerning Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Doug Bradley: a wonderful experience for the man behind the pins is indeed a smart, gentle and interesting man.

Uwe Boll: probably the best experience in my life, as we both had to pretend he's a genius and his films are true masterpieces in the filmmaking craft. The autograph proudly shines on the cover of the DVD 'SEED'. :P

It's up to you now!

Roger Moore - Best. Experience. Ever.
Anne Hathaway - Bumped into her, we exchanged apologies.
Steve Carrel - I apologized on behalf of my star struck friend. He laughed.
• Are you serious, nick_007?! Anne Hathaway?! Goodness how I envy you! ;-)

I haven't really talked to any celebrity. I've been in the same room as Eva Longoria, but never actually got to converse with her. She also went to the same university I did.

Leslie Nielsen - saw him after a one man show he did in 2000. Very nice man. I was sad to hear of his death in December.
Roger Moore - Said a few words to him during a book signing. Something I'll never forget.
Russell Brand - my sister loves him.
Jimmy Carr - I was a poor sod sitting in the front row, after a gig he came down and had a chat.
• Well i have come soo close to all three current top Gear (UK) presenters, (Hamster, Captain Slow, and Jezza), but i actually got to speak to Mr. James May, it was only short, but un-forgettable :D

Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve - 2002 Canadian F1 GP. Got an autograph, and had the chance to exchange a few words !! It was my first time attending such event, and I had F1 paddock club tickets with my dad.

Met various music stars from dizzee rascal to pharrel williams and mark ronson.

However, my biggest meeting was with Michael jackson at great ormond street hospital when I was 7. Lovely, lovely man.

• Sir Roger Moore - At Vue Sur Bond event in 2006 in Quebec, I was lucky enough to assist to a viewing of TMWTGG on the big screen and be selected to ask him a question, about pressure to replace Connery, and his feelings about making Bond his own in his beginning. This was the same event @nick_007 was at.
• Britt Ekland - Same event, she had a few comments about Roger in TMWTGG and how nice he was to the actors and crew.
• Guy Hamilton - Same event, I asked for an autograph, and a brief exchange with him about Goldfinger. Later he responded to the same question I had asked Sir Roger.
• "Le Demond Blond" Guy Lafleur (most famous Montreal Canadian hockey player from the 70s and winner of 5 Stanley Cups) - Met him in high school and he autographed 3 of my hockey cards, after he gave a seminar.
• Mike Fisher (NHL player, former Ottawa Senator and husband of Carrie Underwood) - He carried the Olympic Flame in my home city prior to the Vancouver Olympics, had a chance to take a pic of him next to Misses Luds and exchange a few words.
• Matthew Perry (actor in Friends) - Bumped into him at an Ottawa Senators game and exchanged apologies
• Gilles Vigneault (famous Quebec poet, publisher and song-writer from the 60s) - I was lucky enough to be chosen to take part in a discussion panel with him at my High School.

A man down my road came fifth at the 1976 Olympics...that's boring, yes, but his wife is Michael Caine's daughter. I've met the Caine himself twice now, and he seems like a thoroughly nice guy.

Oh, and my neighbour's cousin's ex-girlfriend's brother has the same curtains as Pippa Middleton's stalker!@!@!

Here's a list of celebs I've sold DVDs to (and what they bought) from my mall kiosk during Sundance a few years ago:

- Jared & Jerusha Hess (Musicals & Disney)
- Jon Heder (Clint Eastwood films)
- Cynthia Nixon (Cary Grant films and Disney's Pollyanna)
- Bruce Greenwood (Hogan's Heroes & The Dirty Dozen)
- Woody Harrelson (Classic Disney films)

I also got to have a few pints with The Killers at my local pub when they were in town performing at some private event.

Lots of hockey players and race car drivers through work but not a lot of actors. Used to chat with John Candy when he was co-owner of the Argos. Had several yaks with Estella Warren and other B-list actors on the set of Stallone's Champ Car movie, Driven, which shot at the Toronto Indy. ( she's local, so I milked that angle).
They had the movie-set pit at the end of the real pit row, and shot film during the race weekend. As an employee of the event, I sauntered in and made myself at home on their set. No problem. I cleared out whenever Stallone came by though. He was the boss and all business, but their fake pit area was a kind of hangout for the film people.
Had a friendly chat with Jimmy Dean once. It was a chance encounter in an office building lobby. He was very friendly and pleased to be recognized for his DAF work which is all I cared about, and what we talked about before he moved on.
Worked as a lead young-police-cadet extra on Police Academy 3. Got to know most of the cast over several weeks. There was a real family atmoshere on that set. Although I did get screamed at good by one of the A/D's for helping myself to a coffee at the star's coffee area, and then hanging around talking with Bobcat Goldthwait, who was as bored as I was between takes. Even though there was lots of mingling with the cast on the broader Academy grounds,( none of these guys/girls were really big names unless you were a fan of the films), encroaching on the star's special areas was verboten. Live and learn.

I used to go to this Gentlemen's Club back in 1985-1988 and see Rodney Dangerfield there in the VIP members room.

I joined him a few times for a couple of drinks since I was a VIP members too - he is a very nice person!!

He had these 2 big black body guards that followed him every where he went!

When I had my Taxi/Limousine company from 2001 to 2005, I had the following celebrities in my Taxis and Limousines:

the 3 guys from ZZ Top - and believe me, they are weird
Renee Zelwegger
Mary Lou Retton

I took Renee to a night club and she asked me to go in with her and sit with her so she won't get bothered by the singles guys in there.

Not one person recognized her.

Then another time, I took Renee to the Galleria for her to do shopping and once again she asked me to escort her - we were okay for about 1 hr until someone recognized her and we had to run for our lives.

She lives here in the Houston area.

She is a very humble person and she doesn't act all snotty and nose up in the air like some of the celebrities do.

Mary Lou Retton lived in Houston at the time too (she is very small and short for a Gymnast) and the 3 ZZ Top guys live in the Houston area too.

I also met a couple of Playboy playmates when I was single and I dated one of them, who even after all these years, me being married, we still keep in touch (she works for me now)

now if y'all want, I can list all the Porno Actresses I have rubbed elbow with over the years of being in video retail since 1992....

Going out to clubs with Rene Zellwegger :) Nothing beats that! Good work! Way to milk the job!

I bet you loved that. Is meeting Willard Whyte/the sausage king the closest to Jill St. John you've been, timmer?

As for me, no contemporary celebrities though I did meet 1950s screen beauty Debra Paget in person once after seeing her in a play. She was extremely nice and still very beautiful for a woman her age. Also, I did see Ruth Buzzi from TV's "Laugh-In" at the airport once and I did see Richard Kiel in person giving his testimony at church. I have met MLB player Lance Berkman. Ultimately, they're just people like the rest of us though I wouldn't mind meeting some veterans of the Bond films in person at one of these Bond fests. I've heard Caroline Munro is very nice.

now it wasn't a date - I was her Taxi driver!

Nothing happened!

She told me she rather take a Taxi than a Limo so it would attract less attention.

No one looks up when a Taxi pulls up in front of a night club or restaurant but when a Limo pulls up, everyone gather around it!

Ahh but did Dean and St John even have any scenes together? Hmmm. I don't think so.

I briefly met the Queen mother many years ago, back in blighty. But to be honest I haven't met a huge amount of famous people. But those who I have met, have all been extremely pleasant. So here's my list:
The Wiggles - Massive Aussie children's entertainment group
Heath Ledger - Several times, his mum used to come into the cafe my parents owned, and he met her there several times for coffee. Very humble and nice person. A sad loss the the world of acting.
Larry Hagman - Recently went to a convention to see him. I mean come on. JR Ewing. really nice man.
Tom Felton - Sam convention, again very nice. Made mini Benny's day when he said he would be welcome in Slitheren house.
Julie White - Plays the mum in the Transformers movies. Again, mini Benny is a huge fan, and stood jaw dropped. She was so nice, we talked to her for a good twenty minutes. She was so wonderful, made a big fuss over mini Benny. First time I've ever seen him be so quiet for so long.
Adam Gilchrist - Australian cricketing legend. My sporting hero, and all round decent guy.
Ryan Giggs - Man Utd legend, though being a Chelsea fan it wasn't that great. Though he is a fantastic player.

And that's about it. Living in the most isolated city in the world does have some disadvantages, but I've met some wonderful celebs in that time as well.

Still she wouldn't let just any old chump take her into a nightclub.

I don't think I can be a celebrity.

Like when Renee and I had to run from a mob of fans in the Galleria.

How can you even do normal things like going to the grocery store, going to get a haircut, going to the bank, the doctor, taking kids to school, etc etc?

I don't think I can stand people taking photos of me - I would probably do what Russell Crowe or Mel Gibson did, beat up a photographer or throw something at them!

LOL!

oh, I used to collect rent from Dominique Sachse when I was a Real Estate Broker and I managed several residential properties and multi-family properties around the city.

Dominique was still in college then and she was one of the hottest tenants I ever had!

she's a local Houston celebrity:

===Actually considering that my maternal grandfather's name was Connery, I therefore am of Connery bloodlines. Therefore Sean and I are obviously blood and both proud members of international clan Connery, (even if my grandfather emigrated from Ireland, not Scotland)

Thus through my "Uncle Sean" I would consider myself connected to St John and Pussy Galore and all the rest of them.

• I've met a few celebrities but the one that would most interest people here was when I was at a charity event where Jane Seymour was the featured guest. I even stood next to her for about 5 minutes - she is tiny. Like, TINY. Maybe 5'2" and a hundred pounds. Stunningly beautiful woman - at her age she's still one of the lovliest women I've ever seen. Very sweet, too.

On a sort of related note I did a play many years ago with a lovely Scottish woman playing my mother. One day my leading lady and I were at her place looking through an old photo album, mostly of plays she had done back in Scotland. Suddenly, there's a picture of her and Sean Connery (looking very young) in a car together! My leading lady (sadly, I can't remember her name) exclamed "Oh my God, that's Sean Connery! How did you know him?". The Scottish lady got rather coy and said, oh, that's just a young man I went out on a few dates with. Again, "But...that's Sean Connery!". The Scottish actress looked at the floor and said, oh, that's just a man who looked like him. They went back and forth a couple of times and then the Scottish lady said "Oh, my dear, you must realize that in Scotland they ALL looked like Sean Connery" - and then winked at me.

I tried to ask her about it a couple of times when it was just her and me backstage but she refused to talk about it. Incredible for a young Bond fan to feel like there was one degree of seperation between myself and Connery...

Roger Moore (very tall, bearded & genial, in Hamley's in 1979), Desmond Llewellyn (the day I went to see The Living Daylights in the West End, 1987), George Lazenby (not impressed by the fact that he charges £20 for an autograph), Honor Blackman (really really nice lady), Kenny Baker (at Elstree during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back), Mark Hamill (ditto), Brian May and Anita Dobson (last February, at the special needs school where my sister works, when they came to the school to donate a new mini-bus) (I met Brian in the West End in 1980 as well), Phil Lynnot (walking up Brewer Street in 1979), Scott Gorham (Shaftesbury Avenue, again in 1979), Pauline Quirke (1983), Denis Nordern, Mick Karn, Dean Friedman, Joss Ackland, Alexis Korner, Jim Henson, Tom Robinson and dozens more

Name just about any hard rock/heavy metal act from the late 70's throughout the 80's and I probably either knew them or had at least met them. The only non music celebrity I met was Heather Locklear, who I met when she was then dating and accompanying Tommy Lee on the Crue's Theater Of Pain tour. I'd been drinking with Nikki Sixx in the bar of Philly's Warwick Hotel and had just returned from the bathroom when there she was, standing right at the bar entrance. We exchanged a hello and smiles (she definitely preferred to date long haired musicians, no doubt) and later on Nick introduced me by name to both her and Tommy. My late mother was in a business deal with Jon Bon Jovi's best friend and engineer Obie O'Brien and had dinner with Jon in his home on occasion. The Jovi crew are good people. Living Colour lead singer and Platoon actor Corey Glover I've known at least 20 years or so.

The only Bond connected person I have actually met is Chris Cornell back in 1988 when Soundgarden first started to tour. He was doing a record signing at the Tower Records store where I was a supervisor at the time. He was a wide eyed kid with a big smile who was just getting a taste of rock stardom and looking like he couldn't believe it was happening. He was loaded with one of the best voices in music already and seemed rather humble about all of it at that time.
