Anne Hathaway - Bumped into her, we exchanged apologies.
Steve Carrel - I apologized on behalf of my star struck friend. He laughed.
I haven't really talked to any celebrity. I've been in the same room as Eva Longoria, but never actually got to converse with her. She also went to the same university I did.
Roger Moore - Said a few words to him during a book signing. Something I'll never forget.
Russell Brand - my sister loves him.
Jimmy Carr - I was a poor sod sitting in the front row, after a gig he came down and had a chat.
Met David Arnold with his young son and daughter, started talking about Bond and his son took a picture of us.
Met various music stars from dizzee rascal to pharrel williams and mark ronson.
However, my biggest meeting was with Michael jackson at great ormond street hospital when I was 7. Lovely, lovely man.
i also havent meet some celebrity and i wasnt in a same room with eva longoria ;)
Oh, and my neighbour's cousin's ex-girlfriend's brother has the same curtains as Pippa Middleton's stalker!@!@!
- Jared & Jerusha Hess (Musicals & Disney)
- Jon Heder (Clint Eastwood films)
- Cynthia Nixon (Cary Grant films and Disney's Pollyanna)
- Bruce Greenwood (Hogan's Heroes & The Dirty Dozen)
- Woody Harrelson (Classic Disney films)
I also got to have a few pints with The Killers at my local pub when they were in town performing at some private event.
They had the movie-set pit at the end of the real pit row, and shot film during the race weekend. As an employee of the event, I sauntered in and made myself at home on their set. No problem. I cleared out whenever Stallone came by though. He was the boss and all business, but their fake pit area was a kind of hangout for the film people.
Had a friendly chat with Jimmy Dean once. It was a chance encounter in an office building lobby. He was very friendly and pleased to be recognized for his DAF work which is all I cared about, and what we talked about before he moved on.
Worked as a lead young-police-cadet extra on Police Academy 3. Got to know most of the cast over several weeks. There was a real family atmoshere on that set. Although I did get screamed at good by one of the A/D's for helping myself to a coffee at the star's coffee area, and then hanging around talking with Bobcat Goldthwait, who was as bored as I was between takes. Even though there was lots of mingling with the cast on the broader Academy grounds,( none of these guys/girls were really big names unless you were a fan of the films), encroaching on the star's special areas was verboten. Live and learn.
I joined him a few times for a couple of drinks since I was a VIP members too - he is a very nice person!!
He had these 2 big black body guards that followed him every where he went!
When I had my Taxi/Limousine company from 2001 to 2005, I had the following celebrities in my Taxis and Limousines:
the 3 guys from ZZ Top - and believe me, they are weird
Renee Zelwegger
Mary Lou Retton
I took Renee to a night club and she asked me to go in with her and sit with her so she won't get bothered by the singles guys in there.
Not one person recognized her.
Then another time, I took Renee to the Galleria for her to do shopping and once again she asked me to escort her - we were okay for about 1 hr until someone recognized her and we had to run for our lives.
She lives here in the Houston area.
She is a very humble person and she doesn't act all snotty and nose up in the air like some of the celebrities do.
Mary Lou Retton lived in Houston at the time too (she is very small and short for a Gymnast) and the 3 ZZ Top guys live in the Houston area too.
I also met a couple of Playboy playmates when I was single and I dated one of them, who even after all these years, me being married, we still keep in touch (she works for me now)
now if y'all want, I can list all the Porno Actresses I have rubbed elbow with over the years of being in video retail since 1992....
As for me, no contemporary celebrities though I did meet 1950s screen beauty Debra Paget in person once after seeing her in a play. She was extremely nice and still very beautiful for a woman her age. Also, I did see Ruth Buzzi from TV's "Laugh-In" at the airport once and I did see Richard Kiel in person giving his testimony at church. I have met MLB player Lance Berkman. Ultimately, they're just people like the rest of us though I wouldn't mind meeting some veterans of the Bond films in person at one of these Bond fests. I've heard Caroline Munro is very nice.
Nothing happened!
She told me she rather take a Taxi than a Limo so it would attract less attention.
No one looks up when a Taxi pulls up in front of a night club or restaurant but when a Limo pulls up, everyone gather around it!
The Wiggles - Massive Aussie children's entertainment group
Heath Ledger - Several times, his mum used to come into the cafe my parents owned, and he met her there several times for coffee. Very humble and nice person. A sad loss the the world of acting.
Larry Hagman - Recently went to a convention to see him. I mean come on. JR Ewing. really nice man.
Tom Felton - Sam convention, again very nice. Made mini Benny's day when he said he would be welcome in Slitheren house.
Julie White - Plays the mum in the Transformers movies. Again, mini Benny is a huge fan, and stood jaw dropped. She was so nice, we talked to her for a good twenty minutes. She was so wonderful, made a big fuss over mini Benny. First time I've ever seen him be so quiet for so long.
Adam Gilchrist - Australian cricketing legend. My sporting hero, and all round decent guy.
Ryan Giggs - Man Utd legend, though being a Chelsea fan it wasn't that great. Though he is a fantastic player.
And that's about it. Living in the most isolated city in the world does have some disadvantages, but I've met some wonderful celebs in that time as well.
Good work Wild!
Like when Renee and I had to run from a mob of fans in the Galleria.
How can you even do normal things like going to the grocery store, going to get a haircut, going to the bank, the doctor, taking kids to school, etc etc?
I don't think I can stand people taking photos of me - I would probably do what Russell Crowe or Mel Gibson did, beat up a photographer or throw something at them!
LOL!
Dominique was still in college then and she was one of the hottest tenants I ever had!
she's a local Houston celebrity:

Thus through my "Uncle Sean" I would consider myself connected to St John and Pussy Galore and all the rest of them.
On a sort of related note I did a play many years ago with a lovely Scottish woman playing my mother. One day my leading lady and I were at her place looking through an old photo album, mostly of plays she had done back in Scotland. Suddenly, there's a picture of her and Sean Connery (looking very young) in a car together! My leading lady (sadly, I can't remember her name) exclamed "Oh my God, that's Sean Connery! How did you know him?". The Scottish lady got rather coy and said, oh, that's just a young man I went out on a few dates with. Again, "But...that's Sean Connery!". The Scottish actress looked at the floor and said, oh, that's just a man who looked like him. They went back and forth a couple of times and then the Scottish lady said "Oh, my dear, you must realize that in Scotland they ALL looked like Sean Connery" - and then winked at me.
I tried to ask her about it a couple of times when it was just her and me backstage but she refused to talk about it. Incredible for a young Bond fan to feel like there was one degree of seperation between myself and Connery...
YOWZA!!
The only Bond connected person I have actually met is Chris Cornell back in 1988 when Soundgarden first started to tour. He was doing a record signing at the Tower Records store where I was a supervisor at the time. He was a wide eyed kid with a big smile who was just getting a taste of rock stardom and looking like he couldn't believe it was happening. He was loaded with one of the best voices in music already and seemed rather humble about all of it at that time.
