Well then my friend, you must have an overactive imagination. ;)
Usually get some good celebs to meet. But this year was a treat for me.

Got to meet George Lazenby and Richard Kiel.

I got to speak to both of them for a few minutes. Just a real thrill to be able to talk to them. And they were both so nice. Really friendly.
I couldn't help asking George about the multi picture contract he turned down. I've read many varying stories relating to this over the years, but he told me he was offered a seven picture contract after Majesty's. And Richard was happy when I told him it was TSWLM that started my Bond fandom way back.
Both wonderful people to meet, and a credit to them for putting their time into such events. This Bond fan has been truly very lucky this weekend.
That is a fantastic picture Benny! What you wrote above is why i love going to such events! Yes it is great to pick up any merchandise that you maybe seeking? But to meet ACTUAL members of the cast is potentially only a once in a lifetime chance? Really glad that you got to meet the both of them! :-bd
After all the years they must've been doing such events, I was amazed at how friendly and keen they were. Considering the thousands of people they would see, and the endless questions, you'd think they'd be over the whole thing.
But as I said, they were true legends.
And thanks @RogueAgent, the picture came out really well. It's easily one of my favourites. George and Richard were so nice to my son, who to be honest is not a Bond fan. Though he did think it was cool to meet James Bond and Jaws.
I met Richard Kiel last year and got his autograph and a picture with him. We talked for a few minutes as the convention we had to had a small turnout so we got to spend a lot of time at the table. His wife Diane is tremendously nice and a very genuine person. My dad asked her if she was "Dolly" and both she and Richard laughed. I'm sure they've gotten that response many times, but still nice of them to share the laugh.
Caroline Munro is also wonderful. She spoke fondly of her time shooting TSWLM and had great things to say about Roger Moore. We spoke for a good 5 minutes and she is very personable and down to earth.
Martine Beswick was also a pleasure to meet at the same convention.
Other non-Bond related people include running into Charles Barkley at a golf course when I was a child. Very nice guy, shook my hand and spoke for a few minutes with me.
Also met Bruce Campbell a few times. Very funny and nice person, great experience being a huge evil dead fan :)
That's funny about your son not being a fan as such. Atleast he didn't say that bless him! :))
I don't have any Countdown clips, but the Scrabble connection did lead to a rather entertaining interview on Radio 5 Live this morning with Nicky Campbell.

Love seeing what some of these well known Bond alumni look like nowadays.
