Ah, I apologise. Let me look through my books and I'll have a think.

No need to worry. I did the same! I actually thought it was my go next until I checked this thread! :))

    Ok, little different:-

Book, and which two characters are talking to each other?

"[...] you are a man after my own heart. We share many interests together, and from your talk, and from the man I think you to be, I am sure you did not cooperate with the Nazis."

Major Smythe to Franz Oberhauser in Octopussy?

    Still partly correct

@Perilagu_Khan was closer, but as yet not fully correct

The answer seems pretty evident then, but I'll let Perilagu_Khan take this one since his dart landed closest.

It's Hannes Oberhauser by the way. I think SPECTRE has muddied the waters. :D

Blast! Should've just said Oberhauser. It's yours, Dragon.

Noone has yet given the full answer...

In one post, you have to give the book and who spoke the line to whom...

One of my favorite lines, if I may butt in for a second.
Two men striding down the wide open expanse of the golf fairway.
One, ever so derisively asks the other.
    " How's the agoraphobia,______(insert name)?" :))

Major Smythe to Hans Oberhauser in OP?

I don't think Goldfinger need be mentioned ;)

Is my OP guess correct? Oberhauser first name, I believe is spelled correctly.

@timmer Incorrect spelling (Hannes Oberhauser, not Hans Oberhauser) but I have to give it to you:

@Perilagu_Khan Whilst I'd have loved to have given you the points for Franz Oberhauser, he wasn't a Fleming character, you were right in every other respect.

OK I'll make it official then.
Major Smythe to Hannes Oberhauser in OP.

My question still stands. We have the book, but not the two characters.
    Think hard! :P
10 points for each or whatever amount @villiers approves.

    Though I'd answered:

Bond to Goldfinger in the book Goldfinger?

    We have a winner!
I laugh my head off every time I read that line.
The humourless Goldfinger's non response is just as funny I think.
Fleming's Bond was quite glib, even before the films were released.

Another favorite is Fleming's description of Bunt via Tiger Tanaka.
Poor Tiger is truly repulsed. Traumatized even. :))

Alright, this is a bit of a cluster F, if you'll forgive the vulgarity. Whose ball is it right now? Rendle's?

Name the character and the book. I fear this one will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

"Unconsciously his mouth pursed and a clear note was emitted. He uttered an impatient 'tchah!' and continued with his reading."
