Everybody resigns in the Uk, it must be an epidemic.

In this case however I find Evans a right prat in thinking that he could function in a similar formula as Clarkson and friends.

As for the BBC they have given the rightwing papers the chance to destroy an huge franchise by firing Clarkson and thinking that the show was worth more than the crew doing it. There are many carshows but the TP show was more about grumpy old men liking cars. And Evans is just a dick, with little talent or I missed that.

Apparently Evans is now having to defend himself against sexual allegations
From his TFI Friday show. He even admits that flashing his penis, is always
    Funny. So he's a sophisticated comedian. :D

Top Gear USA just got cancelled.

    Really??? #$%#!!! ~X( ..

It was finally coming into its own. I think the problem is that it was on The History Channel and not Velocity which would make way more sense.

Velocity has Wheeler Dealers and various other car related shows... the whole channel is about cars ... duh.

According to Adam Ferrara the producers of TG US are looking for a new home for the show , so it's not dead yet,its just resting.

One hell of an opportunity for Amazon.

I watched a documentary about Bob Monkhouse the other night. He was fired from 'The Golden Shot' & it was then taken over by Norman Vaughan. He wasn't up to the job so Charlie Williams was hired. He fell flat on his face so guess who they brought back? History may repeat itself with TG?

I really think that those behind Top Gear should do the decent thing and end it now. It needs to have some dignity in utter defeat.

I think the three amigos have landed on their feet with their Amazon show.
Bigger budget, more freedom, more locations.

Yes, and I think the new BBC Top Gear is essentially dead in the water after only six episodes with Chris Evans presenting. Perhaps the BBC need to start again re-name the programme something else entirely?

I think the BBC with try and save the show, but so far. It's looking a very tired format.
With no new ideas, it has a couple of good presenters but honestly. I think it will only
Match the likes of Fifth Gear, it's golden years are over.
Luckily there's a new show starting on Amazon , new format etc ...... :))

That's what I mean. Better for the BBC to cut their losses soon rather than continue their embarrassment!

I fully understand that Clarkson put them in a terrible position, but possibly
A large fine, an anger management course and put off the television for
Six months or so. May have been a better punishment because as it is
    They've lost a top earner

First photo's of the new Grand Tour set from Johannesburg, South Africa.

The only thing keeping me from thinking I'm watching a M*A*S*H reboot, is the cars parked out front.

It feels like this show has been promoted for five years at this point. It's arrival will be explosive after all this mystery.

To be honest that looks like Top Gear should look and with the right presenters.

Just watching that made me smile, and trust me it has been difficult to do that lately.

Seems the BBC aren't ready to let go of Top Gear just yet, LeBlanc has signed on to host season 24 and 25.
