In OHMSS, when bond returns to his hotel room after some "fun" with Ruby, and Nancy is in his room. He says the same stuff he said to Ruby "Your an inspiration yourself". Then he adds "you need to be" referring to that she needs to be quite good for him to be able to "perform" again.

@jake24 Nice catch regarding SF and SP.

I just rewatched TND and noticed some drugs and a syringe in Carver's safe when Bond gets the decoder. It never struck me before that it's probably used for 'celebrity overdoses'?

I've just noticed something about TWINE. Bond could easily have been killed in the banker's office, so why was the Cigar Girl waiting on a boat on the Thames with a machine gun?

Ed. sorry this should go in the questions thread.

Because they needed Bond to deliver the money/bomb right into MI6 HQ. Then she is there in the boat to assasinate Bond as soon as King is dead, because he'll know he was duped and the cigar girl is his one lead.
It's explained a little bit in a deleted scene on the DVD/blu, Renard orders her to take care of it

I assumed that Henry Gupta is a heroin addict. It makes sense to me.

Me too. Always thought its Gupta's safe where he stashes GPSs, drugs and the finest porn Hamburg has to offer.

Has anyone noted this before...in QOS, when Bond meets Greene, he calls him Mr.Greene, and the response is "My friends call me Dominic", to which Bond replies "I'm sure they do", i.e. snubbing him, and showing they're definitely not friends.

Then at the end when Bond leaves him in the desert, he says "Goodbye, Mr. Greene". Seems to me that's a humorously polite yet deliberate final diss (on top of the whole leaving him in a desert to die thing).

I don't know if this has been mentioned on here before, but I just watched QoS, and noticed that both Tanner and Bond call M maaaam in this film, rather than mahm or mum, as I think they do in the others. Not sure why the difference here. Seems a bit more Americanized.

In Spectre, at the Hoffler Klinik, Q tells Bond he is staying at the "Pevsner" hotel. Could this be a nod to associate producer Tom Pevsner, who died a year before the film was released?

In FYEO, when Blofeld switches on the screens, the buttons seem to be at the wrong sides. The left one turns on the right screen and the other the left one. Kinda funny.

I want the content of that safe.

Silly thing I noticed: there's a smoothie bottle in Moneypenny's fridge in SP AND I know the brand and buy it sometimes. So I share her tastes in smoothies.

I actually realized this the last time I watched it, but, the Captain of the submarine that transports Bond and Felix to Largo's Tears of Allah in NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN also plays the Admiral that Xenia ass-rapes and kills in GOLDENEYE.

OK, speaking of this guy. There's something very bizarre going on in Goldeneye. This Admiral is found dead in his cabin, after Xenia did...er, that, to him. But when Xenia boards the yacht with her "companion" who has had to show his ID to get on, its quite clearly him, or someone who looks very much like him, standing on the left of the frame, his face mostly hidden. So...who is this? Ouromov wearing a false beard? How come this is never mentioned or revealed?

Isn't it meant to be Ouromov taking on his identity, when Xenia does her thing we see a shot of a hand taking his ID.

I have always assumed it was Ouromov, yes. But when they are welcomed onto the yacht, we see the "Admiral" on the left of the frame and its quite clearly a bearded man who is shorter than Xenia. I assume its the actor who plays the Admiral standing there. It certainly isn't Ouromov wearing a fake beard. Has no-one else ever noticed this?

I noticed the shorter fella. They just made a mistake. It is meant to be Ouromov, but the fella they used with helmet was the wrong height. Bad miss there imho.

Only if it had been explicitely stated that it was Orumov.

And is it only me or isn't the Janus Syndicate surprisingly small? Below Trevelyan you have Xenia Onatopp, Orumov and Boris as seconds in command and they also seem to be the only ones doing field (and dirty) work. The train Trevelyan uses seems mostly empty and again, he destroys it without a second thought. You only see a group of henchmen in the last act.

And I love GE, but it strikes me right now that for the scale of the operation and the seemingly importance of Janus, you don't see many members.

How could they even run a business if they were all "stationed" in Cuba?

Fair point. I put it down to the measly $50m budget they had for this film. Not enough for extras perhaps? If they hadn't had that Cuba HQ then I would have had a real problem with it, but given we had that large finale, it sort of wasn't an issue for me.

Oh I don't have a problem with it per se, I mean I enjoy GE tremedously and its low budget is part of its charm. I just find it strange sometimes, seeing the exact same people doing everything, alone.

If it wasn't supposed to be Ouromov, then the only explanation is that the helicopter landed somewhere on route to Severnaya and picked up Ouromov as a replacement for the short fella.

It's interesting that this is being mentioned, because I did notice that height discrepancy and it bothers me.

One thing that bothers me about spectre is the shadows on the columns at sciarra funeral. It's obvious they had one day to nail it and when bond is talking to Monica the position of the sun behind is up and down like a fiddlers elbow due to different takes being intercut.

In DAF there is a minor characters who has one line of dialogue (spoken to Jimmy Dean after WW is released) and he is clearly dubbed by Shane Rimmer. Made me wonder if there were any other characters in the same film dubbed by Rimmer.

    Scott Tracey's tones are unmistakeable.

He also dubs Hamilton at the PTS funeral scene in the next film. "Whose... uh... funeral is it?"

A complete list of Rimmer dubs would be interesting.

During the Oil Rig Attack I believe Rimmer also voices the guy with Whyte and Felix. "Charlie One To Squadron, Commence Attack!"

Well, it was a phantom helicopter. If it was Ourumov, then the Janus syndicate was really understaffed!

I just noticed yesterday that Hinx's Jaguar has a very large scratch in one of the scenes before Bond torches it.
