Annoyed you so much that you'll have an aneurysm, perchance? You are annoying me for being so God damn condescending.

Wow you guys are mean. Sorry for being passionate about it. Where was I condescending anyone?

I can post image comparisons if you like. Or you can just call me rubbish and call for my death.

I do hope you didn't consider me mean, I meant nothing personal, I love your humour @IGUANNA, and I love you, but I cannot say something is right and good when it is not.

@tanaka123 They have also fiddled with the colours and grain structure of the old Bonds beyond acceptable thresholds....... hence a troubling 'praise' from certain "dimwits' on how Dr No in HD looks like it was made yesterday, friends if anyone wants a download of the director-approved Criterion laserdisc with the original colours don't ask me because I'm not sharing.

I will make a post about it sometime. As a filmmaker and storyteller, this shit really eats my goat.

    Need I go on?

To get back on course - I never noticed before Sean Connery's tattoo in Thunderball until I saw the excellent restoration work on the blu ray by Lowry Digital.

I love you too @tanaka123, :) but I have picture proof and more to say. Let's talk about it. I never noticed that before.

I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings @royale65, and I wasn't referring to you specifically, the 'praise' I heard on Dr No's yesterday-like quality was from an unloved relative. Your last 2 quote examples aren't condesending in the slightest.

So provide the proof @IGUANNA so far you've presented none.

Look I didn't mean I was annoyed in a bad way just overwhelmed at what to say next because I am passionate about this subject and want to help enlighten my fellow Bond fans and friends.

I see you now @tanaka123 :) I will make a few composite comparisons in Photoshop tomorrow to show you the difference. Its not always a huge difference, but aside from the resolution its hard to argue the Lowry treatments are superior to original film prints with original colour and grain,

I just realised that if you were a psychologist or acquainted with psychology terminology you would see Elektra's reveal coming right away.

EDIT: No never mind it's actually the opposite.

@Benny @tanaska123 is correct, by some of the bluray 'restorations violated the cinematographor's intention by adding cold modern hues, also film grain was digitally scrubbed from the image which made us lose fine detail in trade for trying to make the film look like it wasn't shot on film stock in the 60s which it was. You know it's bad when Die Another Day has more natural film grain and flicker than Dr No. I hope you understand now and never praise what Lowry did to the odl films again.

Please don't tell me what I should or should not like on my Blu-Ray Bond collection. The quality of the Blu-Ray's is very good, and looks fine. Just because you don't like them. Don't be condescending, when trying to 'explain' what I have praised.
Once again, this is not what this thread is for. Please continue with areas of the Bond series that you have missed.

If you don't want this to go off topic, which it's not since apparently it's hard to notice the color changes, why don't you say something in the Production Diary, Bond Polls, or American President posts for going off topic?

You make interesting points about the blu ray colour correction @IGUANNA. I'm not a connoisseur of this aspect of film making, and so haven't noticed what you've picked up on. It's good to know about it regardless.

Thank you @bondjames, rereading posts from the last page my tone does sound a little pissy for some reason, I wasn't trying to scare anyone, I apologize for that guys. I think it's interesting to discuss.

It's off topic, because this thread is for things that you've not noticed in a Bond film. Such as the camera crew that is clearly visible in the AVTAK fire engine scene when the service station sign is knocked down.
Not the colour restoration or different versions of the films.

Here's some threads that are better suited to you...

Somehow never noticed that the woman working the Venini Glass place is the same one Bond follows into Drax's lair before fighting the python in MR.

@Creasy47, yes, I believe all of the girls at the Amazon location have been seen before in the film (either at Drax's home for afternoon tea, outside by the pheasant shooting range, or at Venini Glass (either at the counter or in the museum).

@bondjames, they do, but the Venini Glass girl always stands out to me, and yet I've never spotted her in his lair - the way she looks at Bond in the shop, I figured for sure she was one of Drax's "beauties," but I never confirmed that for myself until I finally spotted her. Crazy, the things you still manage to pick up after decades and hundreds of viewings.

EDIT: Finishing up the finale now, didn't get to last night, and now I'm spotting her everywhere. Can't figure out why I hadn't noticed her here at all in the past.

I certainly noticed her @Creasy47. Quite a looker.

I get what you're saying about picking up on new things. When I watched the film last week I noticed that she gets manhandled by the Carabinieri when they go in with Bond, M and Sir Frederick Gray to check the lab. I never noticed that bit before.
