I bought BloodStone on the morning it was released from ASDA, played it through to completion, hated it and returned it on the evening. I told the woman at Customer Services that I'd bought the wrong game for my 'son's birthday'. I was able to swap it for another game ;)
That's very cool that they allowed you to do that. I thought 'Bloodstone' wasn't too bad, but the online was dead and some of the single player achievements were really tough or bizarre. Nothing manages to beat (as of recent years) 'Quantum of Solace' for me. That game was a hidden online gem.
Because it is the same engine from MW1, which was just a slightly upgraded version of the engine from COD2, which was just a slightly upgraded id Tech engine, which, I believe, made Quake 3 Arena. COD's been using outdated technology for some time now.
Although, I have to say, the story interests me a little. They could easily tie this in with the MW storyline, but I bet they won't.
Yes, you know it as Wal-Mart in the States.
"Oooh, look, escaping a sinking military carrier! They've nev--oh, wait, that was in the last CoD? Who knew?"
I don't mind yearly games. I buy FIFA and Assassin's Creed every year and I think I get value for money. Assassin's Creed always adds tons of new stuff and has a good story while FIFA gives me enough fun to warrant £40.
And at least they're releasing it on the Wii U. Something that can't be said about GTA, Battlefield, etc. I'll get Ghosts when it's a bit cheaper.
As do I. COD4 still has one of the best missions I have every played. The sniping mission where you follow Price and hide out along the way. Great stuff!
I also enjoy how they nail the voice acting for their characters, a perfect example being Ghost.
"All Ghilied Up". I think that's probably everyone's favourite mission :-)
For good reasons too. Price also has a great acting voice.
Billy Murray :-)
Not by people better than you, by people luckier than you. No true skill is required for COD's online, as evidenced by the fact that I can walk in and own people after not having played the game for a decent amount of time, and using Wii Remote controls.
Agreed, whilst I love online play, especially Uncharted 2, the real skill in any game comes from it's single player campaign. I for one am pleased that Rockstar aren't activating the multiplayer until 2 weeks after GTAV is released.
This is a perfect strategy. This way, they can weed out players who buy the game solely for the online.
Really upset me that the driving is so arcade-y and the damage looks iffy. I've also spotted a few glitches and areas where the streets are completely void of vehicles and civilians. Meh.
Mod edit: cleaning out an F-bomb. ;-)
There was another video that showed another sports car going off of a hill, landing on its top about 100 feet down, then flipping again, sans explosion...
...and any damage, dents, or scratches to the top. The damage looks so wonky in this game.
One handbrake turn and you go spinning out of control and God help you if you're on a motorbike, especially if it's a mission when you're chasing someone.
Damage does look a bit dodgy though.

I put up some leaked video links the other day. Seems that quite a few people have it now. I was disappointed at first, but after seeing other videos, I'm beyond excited again.
EDIT: Tons of 'GTA V' reviews are up, and it's mostly getting perfect scores, as expected, sans 'The Escapist Magazine,' who gave it a 3.5/5.
