Because although I really enjoy the Zelda games, I also really like football.

Might not be as powerful tech wise as the new playstation or the xbox but games can still look brilliant on it (I honestly think the new Wind Waker is the best looking game ever), the gamepad is brilliant (and surprisingly comfortable to play with), it's cheaper, and it has Zelda.
So I think I made the right choice.
Fantastic. I think it'll be one of the best games ever.
I thought I was the only one.

Oh you're far from the only one. Every time I click on something related to this game the comments section has been slagging it off. I've read a lot about it and I think it's really going to surprise people.

Only one Alien? Heavily inspired by the first Alien movie? A horror game? Using the likes of Dishonoured as inspiration? Not many guns?
Sounds fantastic. In Colonial Marines (in my opinion the worst game ever made), the Aliens were nothing more than terrible looking cannon fodder that leapt across the room and punched you in the face. Seems like they're trying to make them scary here.
But it's not all good. Shooting clones and soldiers? Why? They've done this in the last two games. If I play an Alien game, I want to fight Aliens, not a bunch of soldiers that look exactly the same.
Still, sounds quite good. I'm optimistic and I don't think we should all be nervous about it because of the last game. I think we can blame Gearbox for Colonial Marines. I read about it a bit and the story behind how shit it is is tragic. Apparently they put all their time (and most of the budget they were given) into their own original game (Borderlands, which I've never played) and they outsourced most of the game to other studios.
Gearbox (especially Randy whateverhisnamewas, that smug twat with the specs), kept going on about how big fans they were and how great the game would be because they were making it. Of course that was when everyone was hyped up for it because of the fake gameplay they were showing. When the game came out, they disowned it, saying it wasn't their game!
I hope some day they go out of business. I'd settle for that smug liar Randy losing his job though.
Using Ripleys daughter is interesting. I take it then that this is set between Alien and Aliens? I'm guessing the clones will be Weyland-Thingy soldiers and that when they told Ripley that her daughter had lived a normal life and died of old age they were lying, covering up some conspiracy involving the Aliens (which we'll play through in this game).
It's a decent idea but it's a risk. Gearbox had the cheek to market Colonial Marines as "the true sequel" to Aliens and look how that turned out. It might be a better idea to not mess about with the films.
I think anyone who bought that game brand new should've been given their money back for such a piss-poor quality product.
Yes of course that will never happen but shame on all of those involved at Gearbox and SEGA from creating this catastrophe.
As of May, the game had sold over 1.3 million units. How the hell did that happen? At around £40 per game that's over £50 million! I therefore suspect that Randy Whatshisface, Gearbox and SEGA couldn't give a toss what we or anyone else thinks. They've made a nice wad of cash from the poor unsuspecting consumer!
As I said, thankfully I never bought it but I always keep track of poor games and their developers so I make a note never to buy any of their future products if they're going to treat their customers with such contempt. Alas, in hindsight I should have applied that same logic to Activision and Eurocom.
Take 'Operation Flashpoint': they praised the realistic graphics and intense, realistic gameplay. A few weeks before release, they mysteriously cancel the demo. Full game comes out, I rent it, and what do I get? Mediocre graphics, terrible pop-in issues, horrendous AI, and enemies that take more than one magazine to kill. Far from realistic, far from beautiful. I've avoided their games ever since.

This Randy Pitchford comes across as the most obnoxious and arrogant man possible.
