Does this surprise anybody?

I'm sure that's when it'll release. I loved the 'Uncharted' games so much, and every once in a while, PlayStation comes out with a really great exclusive. I talk up the Xbox exclusives a good bit, but even those don't excite me anymore: never cared for 'Gears of War,' 'Halo' isn't good anymore, 'Dead Rising' games seem to cater to the hardcore fans, which I'm not, and even 'Forza 5' this year seems to focus more on MP, which ruins it for me.
I honestly don't remember which ones I've played. I think I played 'Uncharted 1' a long while ago on a friend's console, but not all of it, and when I had a PS3 a little over a year ago, I played the second and third games. Not sure how I didn't let myself play through the trilogy in a proper manner, but I still had a lot of fun. Really, really excellent games.
Not even for The Rest of Us (which would be the perfect title if The Last of Us ever gets a sequel)?
By that logic you shouldn't have gone to see CR because of DAD ;)
I didn't think AC 3 was a bad game but I can see why some people didn't like it. Apparently the new one isn't selling as well as AC 3 which could be due to lots of people not liking AC 3. I think it's probably more to do with people waiting for the new consoles though.
After watching gameplay videos, I just think AC3 looks the same as AC4 in almost every aspect. It's not always a bad thing, if a game is doing something well, why change it? Just don't milk it. Having said that, I found a lot in AC3 to get stale after a while: collecting and climbing became tiring, the combat was pretty dull after a while, the bugs irritated me (which seem to be plentiful in AC4, as well), and after AC3's ending, I can't really see how they went with doing another one.
You can't look at CR and DAD and say they look the same, ;-)
No, no they don't. AC3 and AC4 don't either.
Well after beating AC3 100% and watching a lot of AC4 gameplay, I feel that they do.
Just like AC 3 and AC 4. Pretty different games but both have the Assassin's Creed ingredients: hood, parkour, hidden blades, counter based fighting, jumping off view points, etc.
Since there are 3 cities and the rest of the islands are jungles, beaches and ruins, I'd imagine that there's a fair bit of wilderness stuff too (the hunting is more like Far Cry 3 now apparently because you can craft stuff).
I haven't played the game yet, so I wouldn't know. I'm simply pointing out that nothing in the next-gen but the aforementioned Uncharted 4 has me wanting to buy the console. With games in the current-gen like Arkham Origins, The Last of Us, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes (and the sequel) and a few more I can't readily think of that I'd still like to play, I don't even think about the next-gen consoles.
So are you holding off on going next-gen now? Which console do you think you'll get when the time comes?
It all depends on what I'll get, but mostly it'll be what my friend decides to get (we both decided to wait it out and see if the PS4 interests us) and which console has the better games. I lost interest in 'Dead Rising 3' and 'Titanfall' doesn't exactly scream excitement to me. My Xbox Live is up in July of 2014, so if the consoles are more in stock around then, I'll decide what's best.
Interesting. As I said, I'm definitely holding off, as like I said, the only game I want from next-gen is Uncharted 4, which won't be released until about a year anyway. At that point, hopefully the price for the PS4 will be down quite a margin, likely at $300 if I'm lucky, at which point I'l make my decision. I would wait even longer to get it after that, but with how the world works now, the internet will spoil the game for me if I don't get it and play it guickly enough. It's a shame what the world has turned into, where you can't even sit and enjoy your game without the fear of it being ruined for you. That's the battle I fought with GTA V, where I knew it was going to be spoiled for me soon after release and I rushed my way through it in fear of that, and didn't get to savor it as much.
That was the general comment I got when I had some harsh words for YouTube when they blatantly spoiled the ending of 'Breaking Bad' for me. Clear as day, article one, no secrecy to it, they just showed the ending right in the headline and header image, no way you could've missed it. Then I got the "Well watch it on Netflix, idiot!" Uhh...the last eight episodes weren't on Netflix. I can't stand people anymore who just want to hate and argue just for the hell of it.
I saved the ending of 'GTA V' after completing everything else in the game, and I had an idea of how it ended thanks to some more unsavory people on the Internet. You can't escape it, it really is a losing battle sometimes. If you aren't there to see a brand new movie at midnight or get a brand new game as soon as it comes out, you get the short end of the stick by having everything spoiled for you no matter where you look or turn.
But yes, back to the original topic, I can't warrant any of these purchases. All of the games I jumped into by instantly reserving, I lost interest in over time, to the point that I realized there is no point in spending $520 on an Xbox One for pretty much one brand new game and none of my best friends to play with. I'll stick with the 360 for six months to a year, playing older, cheaper games and getting into some of the newer ones I missed, and wait out all of the bugs and read all the reviews.

Literally the title of the link. Unbelievable.
Oh yeah I was glad to hear that Uncharted 4 is in the pipe line....
I've heard both systems have their fair share of problems and are quite underwhelming. Glad I canceled my pre-order.
