I was watching A View To A Kill the other night in tribute, andhad a stroke of thought come to me. What if it made today...? And then I started thinking about other ideas for casting if a classic Bond film was made today.

I'll get the ball rolling with my A View To A Kill alternate 2015 version and see what happens. Let me know what you think of course, either in the thread or in a PM.

James Bond: Daniel Craig
Max Zorin: Johnny Depp
May Day: Nicky Minaj
Sir Godfrey: Ricky Gervais

Looking forward to seeing some other ones. And what do you think of my mine?

Yes I think I can guess that director, and he'd probably (ironically) have Christoph Waltz as Blofeld. (And Mike Myers as Morton Slumber, giving a five minute monologue about his favorite movie death scenes)

    Anyway here's my 2015 Goldfinger :

    GF

    Bond - Daniel Craig
    Goldfinger - Aksel Hennie
    Oddjob - Byung-Hun Lee
Pussy Galore - Elizabeth Banks (going with Fleming's American version)
Jill AND Tilly Masterson - Natalie Dormer
    Felix Leiter - Jeffrey Wright

How about we do the opposite, and send a modern Bond movie back in time? e.g. :

    SKYFALL (1975)

    James Bond...Roger Moore
    Raoul Silva...Ricardo Montalban
"Eve"...Judi Dench (obscure 70s actress who went on to do nothing of note)
    Severine...Jacqueline Bisset
    Kincaid...Laurence Olivier
    New Q...Malcolm McDowell
    M...Bernard Lee
    Gareth Mallory...Richard Burton
    and
    Clifton James as J.W.Pepper

Directed by PETER HUNT, theme song "Skyfall" by Led Zeppelin

Spielberg gets his wish after 40+ years and directs the film he could have directed (and hinted at wanting to) after Jaws:

    TSWLM:
    Bond...DC
    Agent XXX...Marion Cotillard
    Stromberg...Geoffrey Rush
    Jaws...Djimon Hounsou

DR. No, or how I learned to stop worrying and love SPECTRE.

    Dr. No--Peter Sellers
    Honey--Peter Sellers
    Bond--Peter Sellers
    Felix--Peter Sellers
    M--Peter Sellers
    Quarrel--Sammy Davis Jr.

    Directed by Stanley Kubrick
Music--Wagner, J. Strauss, R. Strauss, Legeti, traditional Jamaican, reggae fusion.
Script--mostly improvised by Sellers, with some contributions by Kubrick
Anticipating Kubrick's later films and themes, the story opens at the dawn of time with three primitive humans killing another, which will serve as metaphor for the death of Strangways, the brutality of man, and the eventual rise of Spectre. In the most controversial and gripping scene in the film, no dialogue will spoken for 45 minutes as we experience the most authentic toppling of an American rocket ever filmed. In a delayed entry into the film, Bond shows up after the intermission.

Ok, not quite what the thread had in mind, but it does open up lots of avenues for fun.

Makes me think how we'd take other films and use the cast for a Bond film. Here's one:
    Moonraker

    Matthew perry as James Bond
    David schwimmer as drax
    Courtney cox as holly
    Matt Leblanc as Felix Leiter
Jennifer Aniston as bimbo at the pool

Keeping with the Tarantino theme, here's FYEO paired with Pulp Fiction:

    Bond...Tim Roth
    Melina...Uma Thurman
    Kristatos...Bruce Willis
    Columbo...Ving Rhames
Bibi...Amanda Plummer (Honey Bunny to Bibi Dahl, yeah makes sense)
    Locque...John Travolta
    Q...Samuel L. jackson

OK. I'm leading us down the rabbit hole now.
