BOND POLLS 2015: 007 Music Score Contest (TOP 10 Best Bond Scores, FINAL RESULTS ARE IN, p. 4!)

edited October 2015 in Music Posts: 11,119
The rules of the game are very very simple. Everyone in this forum needs to rank all the 25 Bond movie scores in TOP 10 order, from worst score towards your best quality Bond score. Once that has been done, 'Eurovision Song Contest' points will be attached to everyone's TOP 10 ranking. The points are:

12 POINTS: Your No# 1 Bond Score
10 POINTS: Your Runner-up Bond Score
08 POINTS: Your 2nd Runner-up Bond Score
07 POINTS: Your 4th placed score
06 POINTS: Your 5th placed score
05 POINTS: Your 6th placed score
04 POINTS: Your 7th placed score
03 POINTS: Your 8th placed score
02 POINTS: Your 9th placed score
01 POINT: Your 10th placed score

It would be helpful if you already name your TOP 10 ranking with the points attached to it, like you can see above. And also please mention the composer first.

Also, the poll runs on both "The James Bond"-forum (general IMDB message board) and the "SPECTRE"-forum.

Anyway, here are the 25 contenders for the Big Prize:

On first review, I'm quite surprised by TND's showing. Above CR & QoS?

& @Gustav_Graves, CR s/b David Arnold and not John Barry.

I corrected it ;-). Funny to see that with the very same poll, IMDB-voters vote quite differently.

To be honest, I'm surprised at Diamonds Are Forever's position- second, only to OHMSS? Apart from a few tracks, I don't see anything so special (apart from the fact that it is a Barry score, so it's better than anything we've had in the past 20 years).

And where's @Murdock when we need him?! Goldeneye is in need of some points...

I'm disappointed that Goldfinger is doing pretty poorly.

Hmmm, in a way I'm not that much surprised. It's a great score, but for me a bit too much 'straight-in-to-your-face". The score from FRWL for instance.....sounded more sinister and mysterious. And at times also a bit complex....which I like for future listenings.
