I would have loved to have seen Connery in Skyfall as Kincaid (which is what the original intention was). That would have been a fitting end to his film career. What a way to go out. Ending right where it all once started for him, in a Bond movie. And what a location, set in his beloved homeland.
`Welcome to Scotland!' bang, bang!
26 should be an agent in his prime.
I completely agree.
Absolutely agree.
So does James Cameron. But unlike Nolan, he’s not a decent writer or person.
He is
He's not got a terrible track history at making films to be fair.
Not so sure about that one. He's above and beyond Nolan in terms of writing female characters, for example.
I don't really care what they're like as people.
I would love that (in fact that’s the inspiration for the Bond 26 screenplay project I’m writing) and Villeneuve would be my ideal choice of director. I also think he’s kind of the most obvious choice since I feel Nolan has scratched his Bond itch after Inception and Tenet. If Villeneuve ended up being the pick it would be a clear signal that they’re doubling down on the dark, “Prestige Bond” the Craig era established.
I agree with everything! Just don't let Purvis and Wade write it!
A remake of Die Another Day then? :D
No thanks DAD was a shocker the first time round. There is literally nothing of that film I would ever want to see used again. :-q
OK, so, yeah, I'm joking...(pinky to mouth and arch eyes) Or am I ?!!?
But, let's face it, EON already allowed the writers to purloin from Austin Powers -- itself a spoof of Bond ! (smh) -- with the Villain-is-Really-the-Hero's-Brother bit in SPECTRE, and from Kingsman -- another spoof of Bond ! (smh) -- with the kill-significant-portions-of-the-population evil plan by the villain in NTTD. Come on. Is this the work of Purvis and Wade or some other person(s) ? Surely there are some fresh writers out there. Austin Powers and Kingsman found them, not to mention M:I. Let's face it, M:I has had -- regardless of the plot and villain's plan, which sometimes has been an approach shared by the Bond producers, who have a collection of stunts and locations they work into the films, if not one, then another when it fits better AND THAT'S FINE ! -- better and more exciting prolonged action/stunt scenes for several movies now.
If Bond and Madeleine get a happy ending in NTTD, then they either have to reboot or write her out somehow in B26. Surely they wouldn't have the same love interest across three films? That's turning into Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
If Bond and Madeleine get a sad ending in NTTD, then they can continue in this timeline.
I agree too.. i hope that's what we get..
The capture of Bond was the best thing about that film..
