Where does Bond go after Craig?

I am not interested in a jokey Bond. I much prefer the droll, witty style of Connery's Bond. Craig was too little; Moore and Brosnan too much. Too much humor reduces the tension and seriousness of a scene.

Does Amazon need Bond 26? They own 25 films. It's not as if they'd go broke if another Bond film was never made.

I think there was always a worry on here, that the combo of Amazon & EON wasn't going to be that smooth. But still, we hope they work out their differences and give us Bond 26 & Beyond.

Wikipedia and an article on IMDB states that Matthew Warchus has been hired as director of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Am I late to this, or has anyone heard of this? If you look at his filmography it has him directing the film.

Whilst each actor has brought something different to the role, they have all played their interpretation of James Bond. Whether fans and audiences alike have enjoyed their turn is an ever going debate.
If EON stray to far from the character, then what’s the point in naming the character James Bond.
He has to retain some of the characteristics that Fleming gave Bond.
As with @CrabKey what do you propose as being new, or leaving fans out in the cold?
