Someone obviously had a good talk with him....Bab's most likely.

Good, now let's put this to rest and get excited for SP.

My last post was a bit over-the-top...
We deserve better than Craig. He's insulted the franchise with his comments. The guy should go. Heck, I'd rather he didn't even turn up for any promotion of SPECTRE, that's how strongly I feel about this man. He's a disgrace and it will be an insult if this person makes another Bond film. 30 million dollars for a guy so ungrateful? **** that.

Albert Broccoli would be ashamed of Craig's conduct.

...but I do feel Craig has tarnished the franchise with his vulgar comments. I admit I am a major anti-Craig Bond fan. Never wanted him as Bond, never enjoyed him in the role. Skyfall is the only Bond film not in my DVD/Bluray collection (although I've only seen CR once, I find it impossible to watch Craig for too long in any of his Bond films).

His recent comments let loose my inner 'can't stand Craig' beast! Still, better in than out! As for his new comments, yeah, whatever. Don't believe him.
These films are such a huge commitment, why would you want to do more?

Money! No, I love playing him. It’s an honour to play him, I get such a big kick out of doing it. I had an opportunity with Casino Royale to wipe the slate clean.

Anyway, the good news is SPECTRE is out very soon so people will concentrate on the film, not on Craig's "I hate Bond/no i love it really" contrary comments. Talk about a split personality! Case for medical treatment? Clear sign of split personality!

Wow, you have nailed it. And not only is he suffering from a split personality, but some of his comments also point towards personal hygiene problems and a rather disturbing penchant for eating far too much cous cous.

    ???

ALL these interviews are from July, the "new one", too.

    They just get released now.
And actually he says the same thing in every one of them, just with different words.
And the "money"-line is a joke in the Mirror-one, and was a joke in the TimeOut-one, too. That's his humour.
Don't know why some people take this shit so serious?

As long as he actually comes back for number 5 I don't care what he says in the press.

Yes, that was obvious. It always clear with people who only choose to see the negative and interpret everything possible in a negative light, and ignore the positive (both old and new) entirely. People like you made up your mind years ago. You jump at anything possibly negative and just "don't believe" anything positive. And you probably think that's objective. Well, all views are subjective, anyway, but most people who don't come from the "can't stand" viewpoint (about Craig or anyone else) tend to have a more balanced take on matters. Very few fans are as myopic. I'm talking of grown-ups, of course, some young fans of anyone or anything can see things very black'n'white as well, but adults are rarely the worshiping kind. At least in my experience both here and otherwise.

Many people enjoy bashing famous people for absolutely anything. There might be other reasons, too, but that's certainly one.

Well that's rather unfortunate. Wish he had clarified.

I guess this dog and pony show will continue until the release date then.

To clarify, I couldn't give a rat's a"", but this is getting way too much press and he should have just kept it inline to avoid such nonsense. As I said before, its not that difficult.

This film can't get here fast enough for me.

Indeed. Not here though because we are irrelevant, whether we like it or not.

Out there certainly where it's getting a life of its own. It could have been avoided.

Let's hope. For all fan's sakes.
  • In my book, Mr. Craig can say whatever cynical/dark comments he wants to the press. What is the whole point of interviews if not getting a sense of the subject's actual character, sense of humour, and feelings at that point in time. Sure, it came across as a distasteful thing to say - but that's part of his tongue-in-cheek brilliance to me. Would anyone rather have a cookie-cutter lead actor who churns out only whatever the studio PR team feeds him?

Some people miss the days of roger Moore when he'd insist this was his last James Bond movie...only to see him again in a few years after accepting another couple million more

He never insisted that. Just that it would be possible given his contracts where (after TSWLM) per film contracts.

Eon screentested actors while Moore was playing hardball with the producers. If Craig is playing hardball over Bond 25 - seems the case - then I'm sure Eon will screentest actors. Craig could price himself out of the role.

If the Mirror rumour has any factual weight - they claim MGM want to reboot the franchise and set it back in the 1960s - the role will be recast. I don't think Craig is a certainty to return. Three years is a long time. There could be big changes to the franchise. SPECTRE might feel like the natural end of Craig's Bond? It might feel the right time to recast and change creative direction.

If the retro Bond rumor has any basis in fact then Daniel Craig won't come back. 100 percent certain of that. A retro Bond would necessitate a new actor in the role. All pro-Craig Bond fans better hope the retro Bond rumour has no value!

Tomorrow Craig will be 1 day away from becoming the 2nd actor to be the official/current James Bond for 10 consecutive years.

No hoping involved, It's bollocks. No one wants a pastiche 60's Bond. We had the 60s and they were awesome.

I doubt true at all but my first thought was to that jerk that called me a pimple. Is this what he meant?

I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT ..OKAY BUT THIS WOULD DEFINITELY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR CRAIG TO RETURN....

HOWEVER, the producers have already publically said Craig is welcome to return as long as he wants. So no I don't believe it.

I wouldn't doubt it however that somebody with MGM didn't bring up the idea ...hence the rumor.

MGM is notorious for bringing up such great ideas like Hot Tube Time Machine 2 which is why Bond's co-owners are so financially sound.

    (being sarcastic)

Well, the Sunday press was full of this story of Craig's unfortunate comments. If even every serious newspaper is reporting this, then this is not just "another tabloid story" that will be forgotten in a few months.

Really everybody has read this by now, out of context and with many of the stories indicating that Spectre will probably be Craig's last.

Once Spectre has run its course, this will come up again, regularly.

EON better shut those rumours up with an official statement latest in early 2016 to confirm that Bond 25 is in the works with Craig.
Otherwise the role will eventually get recast for Bond 25.

I loathed the prospect of Brosnan as Bond in 1986 and then even more so once he got the role and he Martin Campbell started trashing the Dalton films.

If you don't like Craig then just bide you time like some of us did with Brosnan, the nightmare years of cringing in the cinema at his four calamities, mourning Dalton and wishing for a tougher more serious Bond that we thankfully got back with Craig.
