  • Hi everybody, I'm eighteen years old, named after a Clash song; I first became a Bond fan at 8 around the time Die Another Day was released (I know, I know). I lost interest shortly thereafter, though I watched Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Around a year ago, I decided I wanted to watch Goldfinger (I have one of the special edition DVD's), I watched it, and then watched the rest of the DVD's I have, and eventually got the Bond 50 set.

I've seen all of the Bond movies except A View to A Kill, as I've been procrastinating on some of the Moore movies (just watched Moonraker). My favorite actor is Connery, though I find it easiest to picture Brosnan as Bond. My favorite movie is Goldfinger. Boring choice, I know, but what can I say?

That's all I have right now.
  • Greetings everyone,

I am 17 years old, live In Australia. I have been a Bond fan since I watched Tomorrow Never Dies when I was aged 7. I have been on here for a few months now, as I originally got an account so I could watch the process of Skyfall, from its early stages to the final release on Blu-Ray. It is the first Bond film I have monitored all the way through. I felt like it's time I properly introduced myself, as I am going to try and become a more active contributor.

  • Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for the past few weeks now and decided today was the day to join the community. As well as being new to the community, I'm fairly new to the Bond series as well. Hearing about Skyfall, I was motivated to watch an older Bond movie to see if I'd like it and have been hooked since I saw Goldfinger. :)

Welcome guys. It's worth looking through the Announcements section on the right hand side (way down at the bottom). Good to have you here. ;-)
  • Hello, All!

I'm an American -- and I've been a Bond fan since 1966, catching a triple-bill of Dr. No, Goldfinger, and the then-current release, Thunderball, at a local theatre. My handle is based a line of dialogue from Goldfinger, where Bond quips that some things "just aren't done -- it would be like listening to the Beatles without earmuffs!" So just remember that if you ever find yourself paying attention to anything I've written here! Wouldn't want to go listening to the Beatles without earmuffs, now would you?

I think you're in line for the honor of having one of the best usernames @Earmuffs , if the competition is still active. Welcome to the forum
  • I've been a member at Absolutely James Bond and Being James Bond for some time now, and decided to join here after seeing a recommendation from Silhouette Man at the Bondologist Blog.

I've been a Bond fan ever since I read LALD in my early teens, about 25 years ago. I'm also keen on Harry Palmer, John Drake, Alexander Scott and Kelly Robinson, Quiller, Michael Weston, and Jason Bourne (the film version only).

I write from my longtime home of Hawaii, where I work as a journalist. I am also a personal trainer and martial arts instructor. I blog about fitness, martial arts, music, style, food and drink, and personal philosophy at http://www.agentintraining.com/.
  • I've popped in and out of threads here for a couple of months but definitely want to get more involved so here goes!

I'm 21 and just coming to the end of my final year at university. I've been in to Bond since I was around 11 I think at the time Die Another Day was coming out, I was already a fan of the series and it was just an amazing time to be a young Bond fan!

I wonder if any of you guys went to an exhibition at that time that was in London around 2001/2002? I have great memories of it they had the golden gun, Oddjob's hat and Jaws' teeth on display. I remember there being an Ice Palace themed room with the Aston Martin Vanquish there as well and I think it was at the science museum... anyway it all hooked me for life and here I am now. The username is pretty unoriginal but I'm sure you lovely people can forgive that!

My name's my initials, I'm a teenager, been a casual fan since I can remember and become more of a bond Geek recently. Due mainly to my age I have a definite soft spot for modern Bond. My preference for Bond actors goes 1. Craig 2. Dalton 3. Moore/ Brosnan 4. Connery 5. Lazenby. favourite fils are 1. Skyfall 2. Tomorrow Never Dies (I know strange) 3. License to Kill.

You know, I didn't catch it as an error! Just saying "Man, this is great. Man, I'm tired ..." etc. is just an expression. So no worries, @JJMC. I know you can't tell from my user name. But if you squint at my avatar; it is me reading a Xmas story to children.

But yeah, I'm a woman and there are a few ladies here - two worth mentioning now are @Sandy; she is a devoted, long-time Bond fan, and @Germanlady, who is a VERY devoted Craig fan. And there are a handful of other women here. We gals are definitely in the minority but we feel welcome and some of us participate a good deal.

Thanks, I just didn't want a newby like me to cause any aggravation to a devoted fan and experienced user like yourself. Thanks for the info :)
