I recently talked with my dad about all the cars he had thus far. He's a big Opel fan (in the UK: Vauxhall). His last Opel was a Signum, but now he's driving a Ford Focus. Bloody awful!
Anyway, we've seen some of the more ordinary cars in Bond films having a leading role, like "FYEO"s Citroën 2CV (In Netherlands nicknamed "Eend" or "Duck"), "AVTAK"s Renault 9 and "GE"s Fiat 500. Still, there are so many cameo's of cars, that most likely your mum or dad owned in the past.
In my case I've seen a couple of times an Opel Kadett in a Bond film though
:-D! It always makes my heart melt hehe:
The Opel Kadett 'D' 1.2 LS from "Octopussy":

And again, here's my favourite beauty in "A View To A Kill", now from behind :-D:

After the Kadett 'D', my dad bought an 'E'-type (Nooo, not the Jaguar!), and it was featured in "The Living Daylights":

The wonderful Opel Senator used to be for a long time the competitor of the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes S-Class. But it never was a real success. Here you can see it in "Tomorrow Never Dies":

And here's a nice overview of the entire Kadett/Astra series:
So, I did my work. Now time for you to find your dad's car in the
http://www.IMCDB.org database
;-). I'm curious if you can find it. By the way,
other newer 'ordinary' cars that perhaps you own yourself are welcome too ;-).
Edited pictures to links. Please be mindful to do this.

I always wanted one of these, so when I was able to find a pristine, low mileage example, I jumped on it. The first photo is not my car, but it is exactly like that one, including colour.
From the film:

My dad had a Sunbeam Alpine, just like Bond's in DN. He bought it after he saw the film (his was red). He said it gave him a lot of trouble.

He also had an Alfa Romeo GTV like Bond's in OP

and a Mercedes 200 like the one that made a brief appearance in OP

I'll have to catch up with him at some point.
I have a friend who owns a black 1971 Aston Martin DBS (similar to the OHMSS one) and he considers it a delight to drive, but a pain to maintain. He also owns an Alfa Romeo GTV6 just like the one in OP - apparently they're quite cheap now?
My cousin owns a 2012 DBS (I think), and it's his most prized car (or second most). I've had the privilege of riding both the 70's DBS and the modern one, and both are some of the finest automobiles of their time, for sure.
