    (60's) 13
    (70's) 13
    (80's) 10
    (90's) 19
    (00's) 5

Assuming a representative cross section of members have responded, and people watch their first Bond film as a child, does this mean a bias towards 80's and 90's kids on this forum?

Not '80s, apparently. In fact, as a '60s/'70s kid, I see we don't total too far behind an '80s/'90s kid (3pts.).

Sorry I was thinking of late 80s kids

Interesting observation, regardless. But then those growing up in the ‘70s - present could see the films on television, and over time on demand with home video, DVD, Blu Ray and streaming. So their first Bond film could have little to do with their age. Those my age could only see them theatrically through our early years.

Yes, it will be interesting to find out the source of people's first viewing of Bond. And as an extension, whether one's films growing up influences what their favourite movies and who their favourite Bond is, because the nostalgia factor creeps in quite often in rankings, more often with the lesser regarded films, and Goldeneye (due to the game)

I've already added my first film (Goldeneye, on TV). My first in the cinema was Casino Royale, followed by the rest of Craig's films, and (RIP Moore) TSWLM and FYEO

I saw Bond first from watching them on TV with family and my Mom would have been watching Connery specifically though she grew to like Moore... but my first theater Bond was Moonraker...

I must admit that NSNA was the *second* Bond film I ever saw, so it's not far off.
And yes, together with AVTAK, it made me believe that Bond was supposed to be this very old secret agent, on the brink of retirement.

Played a ton of Goldeneye on the N64 and one day my parents made me aware that it was based on a movie. They purchased the movie on VHS for me and I was hooked, made it my mission to see them all.

I think Die Another Day is a great way to introduce kids to the world of Bond. It's a fun romp, lots of spectacle with zero investment. I remember thinking it was the best Bond film ever made when I was 13.

I remember after watching GoldenEye as a kid, I thought that the Bond franchise had supernatural elements and Trevelyan actually did come back from the dead.

My Dad set me up in front of a Black and White TV and I watched DN on the small screen. If we were going with first Bond in the theatre it would be MR.

I see my vote for Diamonds Are Forever has not been carried forward in subsequent posts. The total should be 6. I suspect it's my fault as I didn't use the quote button very well!
