Gunbarrel Scene Elimination Tournament

Well, the idea came to me as I was thinking about elimination contests for Bond movies and theme songs. I assume people here are quite cultured in the gunbarrel sequences since there was a very long thread about ranking the gunbarrels.

In this tournament, we'll just pit one gunbarrel sequence from film X to one from film Y, and you post whichever one you prefer. It'd be nice if somebody else helped me keep the tally, though, since being in Australia means I come from an opposite hemisphere to most of you guys.

First up, it's Live and Let Die vs From Russia With Love.

Wow! These are two of the best! I will go with Casino Royale because it is such a suave moment, and it begins my favorite theme tune. :)

I'll vote for GoldenEye. Casino Royale was innovative and refreshingly new, but in the GoldenEye gunbarrel, Pierce is pure class. And the music is fantastic, too. That being said, the CR gunbarrel leads straight into You Know My Name, which is also fantastic. It's something of a tie at this stage, but the superior gunbarrel design and blood flow makes me hand this over to GoldenEye.

Have to choose GE - one of the greatest gun barrels IMO. CR's is good, but GE wins on tradition and just feels a little better overall.

An hour has passed. GoldenEye wins 9-7. First strike for Casino Royale - three strikes and it's gone from the tournament.
