OP is a good Bond apart from one scene. The gorilla costume when he pretends to check his watch......totally ruins the tension.
Tier 1: The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, From Russia With Love, Tomorrow Never Dies, For Your Eyes Only, The World Is Not Enough
Tier 2: Dr No, You Only Live Twice, The Spy Who Loved Me, GoldenEye, Octopussy
Tier 3: Thunderball, Live And Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, Die Another Day, Goldfinger, Moonraker, A View To A Kill, Diamonds Are Forever
Tier 4: Skyfall, Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace
No SP yet...?
Most dislike the gorilla suit, tarzan or clown disguise.... i don't really mind any of that as none of it really ruins an otherwise good 007 adventure for me - it's the effing breakdown of the 4th wall when bond's tune is played on that sodding flute....
So perhaps they felt the need to inject more humour and ended up overcompensating. It's certainly a jolly old Bond film.......a feel good flick.
Not on the big screen, no.
Agreeing with yourself, are we, @tigers99? Or should I say @MajorBoothroyd32? I'm confused.
Yes, it is.
I don t agree with that whatsoever.
No, it isn't!
I could pick at TWINE's problems, but it's pluses outweigh it's minuses.
I feel the same about TND. It's a Bond film that I don't need to be in a certain mood for, I enjoy it for being an action film that's never boring, and every penny shows on screen. It also happens to be the first Bond that I watched on the big screen. I don't care for Hatcher's casting, but I think of her as a small cog in a larger machine.

;)
I agree... and you even used Octopussy and cockles in the same sentence.
A good list. If only DN was moved up a tier.
1. TSWLM
2. FRWL
3. OHMSS
4. CR
5. SP
Plenty O' Toole but just not quite there.
6. DN
7. GF
8. OP
9. LTK
10. SF
11. GE
12. LALD
13. AVTAK
".........................half-cocked" but still have their enjoyable parts.
14. TB
15. YOLT
16. TLD
17. TMWTGG
18. MR
19. TND
".....................attempting re-entry" into the next tier.
20. QOS
21. TWINE
22. FYEO
23. DAF
24. DAD
Each to their own, of course. But I find it mind-boggling. TLD's first 45mins alone propel it into at least better than average territory.
Indeed. Furthermore, with a few - quite minor - production changes TLD would have ended up as my (and many others') quintessential Bond film... as I outlined in a post a while ago:
