Naomie Harris did a Q and A for her Twitter account, where she was asked what her favourite deleted scenes from Bond were. Her response was a charged scene between her and Ralph Fiennes, where M asks Moneypenny if she's in love with Bond. Part of this scene is shown in one of the video blogs.

I remember seeing that scene in the video blogs, forgot about its omission from the final film. Don't think I would've cared for a discussion like that between the two.

Really? Kind of weird, no? Maybe at that point in the film Mallory wasn't yet on Bond's side after he went off in search of M's lead, but to jump to the conclusion that MP is helping him only because she's got puppy dog eyes for him is a bit of a stretch, I'd say.

Unless of course Mallory somehow had surveillance video of their flirtations in Macau, by which case his feelings/concerns are more than understood.
  • I know that the torture scene of James was not in the initial script, instead had dinner with Blofeld, Bond and Swann (she does not eat anything) and a poker game where the villain reveals the relationship between him and Agent but was replaced because could become boring.

These scenes better be on the Bluray or EON will be receiving a very unpleasant call from me.

You can call because the scene isn't on the disc...

Thread updated to include all aspects relating to deleted scenes/alternate versions omitted from the Bond universe.

Furthermore, this b-roll footage from Skyfall includes several small exchanges that were cut from the film.
  • A dub case. The first time I saw DAF it was in my local language: Catalan. Turns out there's an extra line in that dub I haven't seen in any other language. Remember that when Bond is shadowing Shady Tree he stops by to talk to two showgirls? What he says is inaudible. Well, in Catalan Bond actually says this line perfectly loud: "What time are you acting, missies?"

TRIVIA: Both the usual Catalan and Spanish VA for Sean Connery is Mr. Joan Carles Gustems, who got started - with Connery, at least -, precisely, with the Spanish dub of DAF. He also dubbed Jeremy Brett in both languages and met Mr. Brett in London after a West End play. Brett was so delighted to meet him he sent an usher to buy a bottle of expensive champagne and have a toast with his foreign voice.

I do greatly appreciate you posting those stills.

    "Me"

wasn't in the film, nor was the shot of Q's laptop with the scrambled Spectre logo
Actually, Q says "Do you know who links them all?" "Him" And Bond is talking about Oberhauser!!

In the trailer I'm pretty sure bond say's "me".

    He definitely does say that.

And I've searched everywhere for that QOS deleted scene,or at least more stills, but I also can only find the ones above...bloody frustrating..

So... I'll rest my case now and confirm Bond isn't The Invisible Man. ;)

Unless of course, Bond sports some tiny cameras that project the image they see onto the light-emitting polymer skin on the opposite side. ;)

Upon closer inspection, you're quite right (though still and alternate angle). It looked as if it was from a different shot, where Bond is about to throw a punch. I shall be booking an appointment with my oculist immediately.

Yes I agree. I remember either Forster or Craig commenting though that if they had the movie featured this lost ending then there would have had to have been a follow up to close up the arc.

Although with the identity of the majority of Quantum revealed and the termination of White then that would have been closure enough for me.

Digging back into the archives, I managed to find some interesting MI6 articles highlighting the scenes that were cut from DAD:

    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond_20_cut_scenes1.php3

    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond_20_cut_scenes2.php3

    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond_20_wai_lin.php3

Perhaps the worst offender? The decision to cut Jinx's entire motivations out of the film.
