2. Use of Bond Theme – 7 (it tends to use the two main songs of the film and 007 as a leitmotiv rather than Monty Norman's (?) Theme).
3. Style – 10 (sophisticated and at the same time epic: combines lounge music with powerful renditions of the 007 theme. The suspense music is splendid)
4. Romance – 7 (Not many moments, but they're dead sexy)
5. Excitement - 9 (Barry uses percussion and loud orchestral hits to keep us from losing attention).
6. Brass – 8 (Quite brassy, but not to Goldfinger's levels: vibes and harps are given more importance)
7. Suspense – 10 (Barry creates an extremely suspenseful and eerie atmosphere with his stylish jazzy melodies and sudden orchestral hits)
8. Iconography – 8 (remembered mostly for its theme song, it's a criminally forgotten masterpiece, so, not that iconic. What a pity...).
9. Epicness – 9 (The first truly epic Barry score. Many more were to follow).
10. Timelessness – 9 (mostly another piece of its time, but sometomes sounds way more modern that Goldfinger)
Final Score - 86 %, a real winner with two songs and various instrumental versions of them, plus an explosive rendition of an old theme and excelling in suspense.

1. Implementation of the Theme Song (In this case “The Look of Love”) – 7
2. Use of Bond Theme (The Casino Royale Theme) – 7 (lots of the CR Theme, but too overt for my tastes)

4. Romance – 8 (The Look of Love)

6. Brass – 5 (mainly strings. Perhaps to differentiate the sound from Barry?)

I actually like this score a great deal. Same with the film itself. It's absolutely bat sh*t crazy, and I just go along with it.

2. Use of Bond Theme (Casino Royale Theme) – 9
3. Style – 9 (Classic 60s soundtrack)
4. Romance – 9
5. Excitement – 5

Pity the movie isn't as good

Casino Royale, 1967:
1. Implementation of the Theme Song – 9 (excellent, absolutely delicious song, with Dusty Springfield doing a very sexy performance).
2. Use of Bond Theme – 10 (Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass made a memorable and happy-go-lucky theme, which is used wisely all through the film).
3. Style – 10 (Bacharach and style always go hand in hand)
4. Romance – 9 (in spite of the overall farcical tone, the romantic pieces are sweet and sensual)
5. Excitement – 5 (nope. Not exciting at all. And I'm being generous, mind you)
6. Brass – 10 (with Bacharach and Alpert, we have brass for sure)
7. Suspense – 3 (no excitement, even less suspense)
8. Iconography – 9 (a quintessential work to understand music on the sixties, with lots of ear worms).
9. Epicness – 6 (some epic themes like Mata's dance, or even comedic-epic pieces like The Little French Boy" or something like that-, but nothing to call home for).
10. Timelessness – 10 (a masterpiece excerpts of whom are even today used to illustrate its time in many TV and radio shows)
81 %, excellent and very memorable comedy sountrack by a magical trio formed by Bacharach, Alpert and Miss Springfield. CR'67 is a guilty pleasure for me, as I love this kind of shit-crazy comedies. Heck, I even laughed hard with Silence Of The Hams.

Are they still in good shape? I kinda love Alpert's music.
I will judge this music by what it is, not by what it ain't - if you catch my drift.
1. Theme Song – 9. (Let me explain: I keep humming this thing for days after I've given the expanded score, which I proudly own, another go. It's addictive, like cocaine.)
2. Use of Bond Theme - 9 (It re-energizes the film in critical moments, pulling me back in. It's so silly yet so delicious.)
3. Style – 9 (Bacharach's contribution to CR67 is the only element in the film that's completely coherent and fitting.)
4. Romance – 9 (Okay, confession time. Mata's dance, right after the Indian bongos, is a piece of music I simply adore. Then there's The Look Of Love, which is downright perfect. It's one of the most copied and re-used songs from the entire Bond universe! Imagine my joy when it appeared on the Catch Me If You Can soundtrack.)
5. Excitement - 2 (Okay, clearly I'm never in a completely different mood when listening to this music. Excitement is not a word I'd use, which isn't a negative comment on the score, mind.)
6. Brass – 10 (Can't get more brassy, right?)
7. Suspense - 2 (Not what they were going for with the film or the music.)
8. Iconography – 3 (Sadly, the sound isn't Bond, except for The Look Of Love. I'm thinking about Blake Edwards doing a Benny Hill feature length movie, rather than James Bond.)
9. Epicness – 7 (Shoot me. I think this really is an epic score.)
10. Timelessness – 6 (It'll always be trapped in the 60s, but that isn't a bad thing.)
66%
Bacharach and Mancini should have gotten a chance at doing an EON Bond the moment Barry turned unavailable. The CR67 score is one of those brilliant accomplishments in movie music, totally disconnected from however we may feel about the movie itself.

2. Use of Bond Theme – 5 (I miss it in the soundtrack album)
3. Style – 9 (Barry repeats the FRWL style, combining jazz, pop, orchestral music and folk elements from the country where the movie is set).
4. Romance – 10 (fantastic use of instrumentals of the song, both romatic and openly erotic, and pieces with a *very light* Japanese folk flavor for that beautiful wedding scene).
5. Excitement - 10 (Fight at Kobe Dock, with its crescendo and adventurous tone, turns the movie's song into a crowning moment of awesome).
6. Brass – 8 (Quite brassy)
7. Suspense – 10 (This contains the eeringly mesmerizing and terrifying "Capsule in Space" and "Countdown For Blofeld". Only for these it desterves a high rank).
8. Iconography – 8 (notable: we just have to think about Robbie Williams sampling the theme song for his Millenium)
9. Epicness – 9 (Lots of resounding action pieces)
10. Timelessness – 9 (maybe the first Bond soundtrack that could be used on a present day movie).
86/100
Tremendous: By then, Barry already had won a big treble for Born Free (2 Oscars, 1 Golden Globe), and he was in top form: here he offers kind of a transition between TB and his Bond masterpiece OHMSS.
I must add that I really dig Lorraine Chandler's theme: John Barry meets Curtis Mayfield! (it sounds like one of those Curtom singles from the era).
