1. Implementation of the Theme Song – 10 (Excellent performance by Sheena Easton in the song, wonderful instrumental version on the Corfu scenes)
2. Use of Bond Theme – 9 (Conti updates it to 1978 instead of 1981, but nice job overall, even surpassing the album version of Bond 77 (not the movie one. The Gunbarrel is the second best of the whole series to me).
3. Style – 8 (While I love the already dated disco style he tried to implement and how brilliantly performed it is, gets one point deduced in my book for the horrendous mariachi-like music in the "Madrid" scenes. It gets worse knowing how correctly he emulated Andalusian folk music in Gloria and that he started working in Italian-Spanish B-flicks. Ya te vale, Conti, tío. Ya te vale).
4. Romance – 10 (Bill Conti was used to romantic movies, and here he offers us the smooth, flugerhorn-driven Take Me Home and a beautiful version of the main theme. The wild, hilariously "sexy" Make It Last Night adds a tongue-in-cheek element to the Bond-style love life).
5. Excitement - 8 (It is exciting enough, but not as much as Barry's scores. Not even as exciting as Conti's works for the Rocky series).
6. Brass – 10 (Almost as brassy as Bacharach's sountrack for CR'67, but not as funny)
7. Suspense – 8 (St. Cyril's, Submarine or Ski... Shoot... Jump show a notable sense of suspense... But Conti is not Barry, again).
8. Iconography – 6 (It's my favorite Bond score, but not a staple in film music, that's for sure).
9. Epicness – 7 (It has some epicness in it, especially in the St. Cyril's and underwater scenes, but does not try very hard)
10. Timelessness – 5 (Dated even for its time: I think this soundtrack would have fitted MR better than FYEO. However, this datedness makes the whole thing quite charming to me).
81/100: It's my favorite Bond score. I listen to it whole about twice a year because it's so groovy and happy-go-lucky, but maybe it was not in the right movie: it belonged to a less serious film in tone, like MR or OP, but they've got great sountracks on its own. Nevertheless, a very fine effort by Bill Conti. On a sidenote, it recieved exactly the same note as another fav of mine: CR'67. I swear it's a coincidence.

I can't help but feel that some people are too harsh with this one. Granted, it makes some odd choices at times. When it does connect, however, it does so in a big way. The theme song is not my favorite but Conti does an excellent job of incorporating it into the film. We could only be so lucky to get this in the modern era. I also enjoy his unique take on the gunbarrel/Bond theme.
Of course I had to subtract points because of the dated sound. Although, as I've said before, I love the wide variety of music that we have in the Bond library. So, while Barry this aint, it more than gets the job done. I think it's full of suspense, even if it does meander off course a few times. There are some touching, romantic moments as well. Overall, it leaves me satisfied.

Where it should be. At least CR '67 was a good score in and of itself. NSNA's score is part Indiana Jones, part Barry-pastiche, part horrible dated mess and part porn movie.

I didn't realise how much poorer this one is compared with the others. Eric Serra has nothing on this one. What was Michel Legrand thinking?
