    Having a track leaked two weeks early isn't unheard of but this news is doubtful.

    This is quite interesting. Normally if I heard this, I'd throw it in the B.S. bin, however, the fact that it's being reported by someone who's not a 14 year old fanboy who's sitting in his basement looking for attention and hits on his twitter page is interesting. Hard to tell, because what he's claiming isn't really believable, but the way he's claiming it actually sort of makes me think it's right.

    That doesn't make sense. Why would HMV have SKYFALL's theme song when no one else in the world has (officially) heard it? EON hasn't even commented on the numerous Adele rumours, but gave the song to a music store? I don't buy it.

    The only possible explanation I can think of is they're getting ready for a big announcement on Monday, when the BOND 50 Blu-Ray tour ends at HMV Oxford Street. But it wasn't HMV Oxford Street that allegedly leaked the song. And even if it was, I doubt EON would have given them the song 3 days earlier.

    I would expect the skyfall theme song on the sound track, if its a 50th anniversary soundtrack, but who knows

    I think Steve Hughes believes he heard Adele's Skyfall song but that doesn't make it anymore credible. If the song was truly floating around HMV stores then someone would have anonymously leaked the music or confirmed Adele the artist by now.

    This is very curious. If the song was leaked to HMV and it was intentional, than it is a savvy way to set up the Monday event.

    Another theory, is that HMV was given special advance copies of the singles to be played on Monday for the Oxford Street event, but someone at HMV played it early. They should be locking this stuff up in a safe!

    I don't think he even knew what he heard. Anyway, music sounds different to everyone.

    The person you are all talking about is a personal friend of mine.

    I won't have anyone here slagging my mate off, who heard this track today. He is not someone who would make up something like this.

    A close friend of my website has heard the new Skyfall Bond song played in HMV Guildford this morning, performed by Adele.

    After speaking to him this evening, he insists it was Adele’s voice he heard on the track, which sounded very much like a Bond tune, with the words `Skyfall’ in the chorus. A worker at HMV Guildford is obviously close friends with someone at Abbey Road studios, who must have had a bootleg copy.

    HMV are nasty liers then! X( Shame on them, blaming it on an in store player.

    He texted me this morning as soon as had heard it in HMV. He caught about 1 minute of the song before it was turned off.

    Did he question how someone could slip up like that? That's a really big balls up by HMV.

    The theme seems rather like Adele with a twist then. I didn't expect it to likended to The Living Daylights.

    He didn't get a recording of the song, he only heard it.

    And yes we are very close mates. I will appear as an extra in the BBC `Casualty' Xmas episode that he directed the other week. He let me appear in it as a favour - and I managed to even get a speaking part too..... :)

    I already commented on the other thread, I don't recall hearing this before, I think you might have found the first glimpse at Newman's score for Skyfall!

    It sounds alright. I like the melodie, but it has more of a David Arnold feel than John Barry. I just don't know whether I like it or not. It's nothing outstanding I think.

    Actually, every other page on that site has his own tune. I'm not convinced yet about this Bondmusic being from Newman.

    Hmmm. Don't know. But A Living Daylights feel to the song does not make me happy.
    Guess I'll try to be reaaallllly flexible in expectations: ballad? bold? strong? brassy? lounge style? melancholy? a beat you can dance to? Hmmm.

    Just want it to be great. We're overdue for a great Bond theme song.

    I really like The Living Daylights song. I hope the new theme song by Adele will be incorperated into the rest of the soundtrack.
