Good, it wasn't just me then.
I was worried about Ace in Chibnall's hands, but she was exactly what I would think she would be like today. He wrote Ace perfectly. And Sophie Aldred knocked it out of the park.
It was.
The link works when you refresh the page, I had issues with the link.
I was thinking of an Ace & Tegan spinoff, but your idea would be much better.
Just read the 60th anniversary will be 3 episodes.
Is that in Big Finish?
I'm not sure, it could be. I just remember hearing about it somewhere.
Think its a desperate move by the BBC to get fans back.
You are right I totally forgot about the
There you go, I thought so.

What a rollercoaster that was ! And I enjoyed the easter eggs as well. And glad to see Ace hasn't lost her edge. If Daleks ever have nightmares, they must have them about baseball bats.

Edited: though did that logo first appear with Pertwee.
I think the more interesting thing is that Disney+ are distributing it outside the UK and Ireland. As much as I hate the monopolising nature of Disney, it's a very savvy move to increase the show's reach and I think it'll be right at home with all the Marvel and Star Wars content. And having been vocal about the measly queer rep in Loki, increasing it ten-fold just from the back catalogue alone before his era is such a power move.
Edit
Series 11. I thought it was 12.
I believe it's new episodes only to be on D+ rather than the back catalogue, but perhaps that'll change or be different in different countries.
It's certainly hard to see how it won't make the show bigger and more accessible, as well as making it a bit more prestigious. I'm sure it won't be one of their most high profile titles alongside the Star Wars or Marvel ones or anything like that, but it can't hurt. Hopefully it also shows that it's having a bit of a quality upgrade too.
Cheers its been more than 4 years since i last watched Pertwee's 5 seasons all the way through. I thought they changed Pertwee's logo late on in his run.

It's the one two punch of the Disney involvement and it being produced by a private company for the first time. I'm glad it's getting a decent budget and the potential of millions of eyeballs on it but I hope it doesn't lose its soul either.
