Spock wipes Kirk's memory of an android he'd fallen in love with.
Nah, loved the glasses (made him look like Dylan circa 1965), loved the guitar (the Doctor's gotta have a hobby), and of course a new sonic screwdriver just in time for Christmas!
As the War Doctor said "Put these tools down. They're screwdriver, not guns. What are you going to do, assemble a cabinet at them ?"
The guitar is a nice touch as well. It's good to have a doctor with a hobby besides the tardis and impressing companion. It's like the other doctors with the car, the jellybabies or the bow tie.
Especially the guitar. I'm not against the Sonic being given a break for a bit, I just didn't see the point of replacing it with the glasses. Thankfully, that's now a moot point.
Sometimes i think what the hell is going on.
As i was a kid in the 60's, to me i still like the Monster type stories best, and what the hell is Dr Who doing now with a rock guitar. Bleedin hell, anyway Peter Capaldi is more appropriate as a Dr Who, than that kid Matt Smith ever was!
Could not agree more!
I wasn't too far off in my predictions about a spin-off. Except I imagined it as a series of audio dramas for Big Finish.
17.10 ! Yes, you're reading that right !

What the smeg are the programmers thinking ? Granted, the viewing figures in France are not setting the world on fire (319 000 viewers last night, according to my informations), but to demote the series as an afternoon show like that after giving it the honor of prime time... No I don't understand. If somebody has an explanation, I would like to hear it.
I'm currently listening to 'We Are The Daleks'. Though I prefer the mysterious side of the 7th Doctor, I still found myself enjoying this story. And Bonnie Langford is finally given a story that makes full use of Mel's computing backround.
Yesterday, I listened to 'Damaged Goods'. It's one thing to hear the new 7th Doctor theme on it's but, but in the context of the story... I can't wait to hear it in more stories. Having not read any of the New Adventures, I wasn't quite prepared for how sombre the story would turn out to be. I don't mean that as a complaint, as I am open to Big Finish experimenting.
(But I might be biased because River's one of my favorite characters.)
Pertwee's Doctor was quite Bond-like, or at least I think so. With UNIT acting as his MI6.
