    They're not going to anytime soon. Remember, their standard bearer wouldn't even denounce David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan when given multiple opportunities to do so and called for a 2nd amendment "solution" a while back.

    Hopefully this is the last dying gasps of this Tea Party-fueled hate fest that has gripped the Republican party. Maybe it's just the virus burning itself out of the host body and sanity will begin to return in the next couple of years.

    I think it's going to take more than a couple of years for sanity to return, and it's not going to happen automatically like a pendulum returning to center (and then going to the other extreme) once it's reached the top of its arc. Remember, the Republican Party as a whole has been indulging this racist stance of its Deplorable fringe for the entire 8 years of Obama's presidency, trying to pretend that he's been unqualified to actually be president because he's, y'know, Muslim? Not born in the USA? Black. We're going to need at least as much time for Faux News and the right wing radio brigade to get the message through to these pinheads: hey, we can agree to disagree in a peaceful and reasonable fashion. Liberals aren't automatically traitors just because they don't vote the same way we do. And, oh yeah, Second Amendment solutions to a president that's black or a woman or even somebody who's been a professional politician for thirty years really aren't a good thing so please put down your guns and everybody try to play nice.

    I have to admit that I'd heard of the incident but didn't remember the name of the victim in this case. I am inspired to revise the lyrics of Country Joe McDonald's "I Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag" here: "Pick up a book, put down your gun, maybe we can something done."

    As predicted, TrumpTV debuted on Monday. Since he's basically mailing it in now as far as the campaign goes, it's onto Nov. 9th and new opportunities.

    I normally don't watch stuff about the election, but boy am I glad I watched this.

    I don't like Michael Moore, but every word he says is true, the man gets it.
    And frankly, that's quite frightening

    However, it is dangerous because some people probably are only watching that 4 min. edited clip and taking heart to vote for Trump.

    We do hope that the government will work together, but many blockades will be put up as much as possible, to stop Clinton from passing legislation if she becomes president. Of course, this would be happening if Trump is elected, but somehow that feels like it would be done to save and protect our country from his irrational decisions ... against Clinton, that is not the case. Especially as there is such undying, underlying pure hatred towards her and her husband. That won't go away.

    Luckily, the American public has a long history of pretty much ignoring most of what Michael Moore has to say anyway.

    Unluckily, the American public has a long history of continuing to vote for the same turkeys that got them into this mess in the first place -- despite the fact that they claim to hate said turkeys. Maybe it's just that November is turkey month. We'll see. I'll be stocking up on the cranberry sauce...but I won't be surprised if we all end up getting stuffed.

    I'm going to push back about Michael Moore. While he may not be your cup of tea, I feel he is an important voice to be heard. His films are under-financed and don't have the glitz of a Bond film, but he produced the highest grossing documentary of all time. Here are some of the subjects he's addressed:
    The greed of General Motors
    Gun violence in America and the Columbine school massacre
    The longtime relationship of the Bush and Bin Laden families
    America's healthcare system and greed of hospitals and insurance companies
    America's hawkish foreign policies and willingness to commit combat troops

    If not for people like Michael Moore speaking out, we'd be alot less informed of subjects that need to be brought to light. Americans hate to look in the mirror that someone else holds up.

    Please understand that I did not say "Michael Moore's work is worthless." I have seen several of his documentaries myself and find his work very insightful. What I said was "the American public...pretty much ignor(es) what Michael Moore has to say." I trust you understand the difference.

    The election is Nov. 8th.
    I still believe truly that the following people represent a minority of Americans. But this is out from underneath rocks now and as a nation we must deal with it all, no matter how distasteful.
