Trump's deep bigotry alone makes him scum and no choice for president. That is not even going into any of his other major flaws, including psychopathological lying.

Comey definitely had a choice, and he chose wrong - according to many, including several Republicans. It is a shame. He has permanently stained his own rep (but I don't care about that), the FBI, and again given fodder to people of other countries to laugh at us.

and just sad to see a Senator (Republican of course) saying this:

    which includes this bit:
But he also bluntly said that if Clinton is elected, he will do everything in his power to deny her the right to fill the vacant Supreme Court slot, aligning himself with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's position on the issue.
"Well, my answer to you would be it isn't going to happen -- period," Burr said when asked about the prospects of President Barack Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, being confirmed in the lame-duck session of Congress.
Burr added: "And if Hillary Clinton becomes president, I am going to do everything I can do to make sure four years from now, we still got an opening on the Supreme Court."
Burr boasted that he is responsible for the "longest judicial vacancy in history" by denying the confirmation of an Obama judge to serve in the eastern district of North Carolina.

In every other civilised country someone like Hillary would long have been forced to step down.
Trump is a clown, a populist. Hillary is dangerous, very.
At least the British have a decent PM now, she will not play Hillary's war games. Thank God.

You are correct as ever, @4Ever. That link about Senator Burr is a very, very sad thing -- and more than reason enough to VOTE OUT THE ENTIRE REPUB TICKET. In my own humble opinion, of course.

Very disturbing to see even the head of the FBI has become fair game if his action doesn't suit one party. Unprecedented.

Oh, come on. J. Edgar Hoover had blackmail material on everybody in Washington DC. The head of the FBI has always played politics. Comey just got caught at it.

Jason, his actions are unprecedented - I have to amend that to say in more recent times - that is the news and why people (not only Democrats) are upset.

Hoover was the worst. The FBI has some very dark history, yes.
But in more recent years, what Comey did goes against the FBI and Justice Dept's policies.
  • Especially when he's arguing against discussing Russia's involvement with the whole email thing, yes, I know and most definitely agree.

I have, in my lifetime, lived thru Hoover, a presidential assassination, the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, and the totally corrupt, criminal president that was Nixon. Those are just some key ones. I don't have blinders on, believe me.

So he closed the case in July and everybody applauded and now that he found new evidence he did his job properly and gets blasted, and of course he should have waited until after the election.
    Double standards.

The case is not reopened. If you read thru some of the articles on why many people are against his decision to speak publicly this close to election day, you will understand why. It is not that blatantly simple. What he did in July, in speaking publicly (not just his recent announcements), and this past week was against policy and has not been condoned by many, including the Dept. of Justice.

I'm glad you think we have a great PM again, I'm not sure a number of my fellow countrymen and women would agree having a Thatcher clone in the hot seat is a good thing.

The Orgreave enquiry fiasco shows what kind of Government Tresemme (as my Wife calls her ) is leading.

As for Trump, trying to defend such a dispicable human being makes me wonder about your own character, I know it's your choice but I can't help but judge you on it.

Also Trump seems to have seduced people by suggesting he's the alternative to the corrupt establishment.

Seriously Trump is part of the corrupt establishment and if he got in he'd make Tricky Dick look whiter than white.

Can't believe the horse shit some of you so called intelligent people are spouting and swallowing.

Where exactly do I defend Trump?
I just point out that Hillary isn't a better choice, especially from an European point of view.
Both are despicable human beings and I can't believe they both were allowed to make it this far.

We are all entitled to our opinions, for sure. In my opinion, Hillary Clinton is by far a better choice. In general, I agree with her policies. I do not mind her being a career politician; some people hate on that aspect alone these days. I honestly do not consider both candidates to be close to each other in "badness" or both to be despicable or evil. Not at all. But again, that is simply my opinion. I respect that others disagree.

None of these folks are saints that's for sure.

The better candidates didn't run and we're left with what we're left with.

At least on the Republican side Trump blew the whole mess up (and it needed to have an enema). Sadly, that didn't happen on the other side, but I have a feeling it will eventually, and against the odds.

For those interested in why the private email scenario could be consequential, you can read this. Charges weren't filed yet, but they could, depending on what is found in the new batch of emails.

IMO, anyone that feels differently really actually hasn't heard Trump speaking. Hillary is a corporate lackey and a standard corrupt politician, but she truly cares about women's issues, kids and her hair styles, and that right there makes her a better candidate for POTUS.

In July, Comey said there was nothing to prosecute, "not even close"
But his July statement was unusual, and certainly his timing of his statements last week highly unusual. That is why so many people are upset with him. So far, the current batch seem to be dupicates. They just got a warrant to review them. It should be looked at, sure; but not made public this close to election day. That is the issue because there is nothing wrong with them as yet discovered. They simply do not know yet. Comey's statements have muddled with voters, which is basically wrong for many people.

Last time I checked none of you live in Texas and have been close to the Mexican cartel or Mexican border?

In my town we have a few colleges and Mexicans pay $0.00 to goto college..
I know a lot of them and they openly admit they are here illegally.

I pay taxes just like everyone else and just to goto community college it's $1K per class.. Top that off with insurance for your car and health. A lot of illegals get free health insurance and live in government funded housing. They claim to be extremely poor yet wear designer clothes and their parents drive brand new trucks and mustangs/camaros. I am not some huge Trump supporter and if you had told me 10 years ago to vote for him I would have laughed my ass off...

America is in major major major debt, Trump is a businessman and he wants for example, everything to say made in USA vs Made in China. Imagine all the Nike factories being in the USA and not china. So many jobs could be created off of that. A lot of people hate but are you a billionaire? No.. Do a lot of people get handed a million to start a company up? No they do not but Trump is a highly successful billionaire..
He could most definitely get us out of debt! The Clintons are extremely shady and they somewhat remind me of the Kenendys. Always surrounded by scandals and drama.

A lot of celebs get tons and tons of bogus lawsuits. Justin Bieber has what 100s of lawsuits and 90% of them get thrown out. My point is it's funny that a lot of people are coming out of nowhere during the presidential election and claiming trump did this or said this 20-30 years ago.. I don't care about his personal life. What has he done politically that has put this nation in harm? Nothing? Clinton however has already held a position in the White House.. Benghazi... Yeah not even going there. A lot of people think Trump is a joke but if you actually take the time to watch YouTube videos just explaining what he wants to do and his plans then it might impress you!

I have family in Europe actually and they hate Trump. Living in the USA vs Europe is extremely different..

I guarantee a lot of you do not have to worry about the cartel in your areas and I live in a really nice town close to Austin, Texas..

There's many other reasons why I would vote for Trump. I have no issue with anyone on this forum being a Hillary lover but no need to bash people for supporting Trump!

I do not bash anyone or say anything negative. There's different cultures in this world and different types of government. In Texas I have maybe 3 guns in my room. My cousin in NY flipped out (he's in his 30s), and was completely upset that I owned guns.

Everyone I know has a gun in Texas.
It's super common and just how everyone was raised. I have owned more vehicles then my cousin too, he has lived in NY and never needed really needed a car. It's different for different states and areas..

I remember a lot of people up North supporting men using women's bathrooms... Which to me is sick but to each their own I guess!

It'll be interesting to see what happens with this election. I think it could honestly go either way.

Just consider he had waited until after the election. He would have been accused even more, much more and it would have looked like the elite establishment politicians once more got their way.

I believe he acted in the interest of that scenario. This way it's much better.
There's no doubt whatsoever, Hillary will win this in a landslide. Comey knows that.
But this way he did his job and can't be accused of holding back information.

Really, why is that so hard to understand.

I understand what you are saying. You have a point. However, it does interfere with voters, this close to election day - that is what is wrong about it. I'm not losing sleep over this. :)

I going to do us all a favor: I'm taking just ONE LINE of your posting and refuting it. I could do it with nearly every line you've posted but that would be too long for everybody to wade through, so: just one line.

If Trump really wanted "everything to say made in USA vs Made in China" then the stupid "Make America Great Again" baseball caps he's shilling at all of his rallies would have been made in the USA...but they're not. They're made (guess where?) ...in China! You have been sold an obvious bill of goods, @CASINO. He's making a fool of you, taking your money, and using it to fund his next scam. Wake up and stop giving him your money, or your support.

  • Just a note on the October Surprises…and probable November Surprises about to come our way…

Please remember that a close election is in Big Media’s best interests. A blow-out is only going to bring in viewers if it happens at the last moment. Until then, everybody’s got to think that their side still has a chance to win. So don’t be surprised if the bombshells come fast & furious for the next week. Elliot Carver would be proud of the work his divisions are about to do!

    @BeatlesSansEarmuffs

Why do so many believe it will be a close call. The American voting map will be as blue as as the sea in Sardinia after the election.
If anything the Reps can be glad if they don't lose both houses. There's where the real suspense lies.
