  • Agreed,Namibia would also be an amazing location.
  • My only reservation with Skyfall is the lack of exciting/original locations.Hope the story line makes up for this.Awesome cast though

This is a duplicate thread from already one is existence, I remember vividly being involved in it, a mere few months ago, thought Mr Samuel would of been aware..

I'm well aware but am having trouble finding it! Give me time and I am sure I can dig it out. You are right, this has been done before - and recently.

Cities - Prague, Budapest, Stockholm, Rome, Marrakech.
Countries/States - South Africa, Fiji, Hawaii.

Not very keen on Bond in the Outback personally. Sydney could work though I guess.

Can't see Bond doing the Tango somehow

I'd try and get Maradona to make a cameo If I was in charge, seriously

Brilliant - shortarse Maradona as some sort of greasy Nick Nack. I doubt he would do it though - no way he would be seen to let an Englishman get one over on him.

Some sort of plot about an Argie rogue general (played by Sean Penn obviously) planning a secret attack on the Falklands with his little henchman Diego anyone?

How about maradona is the villian, and he has stolen a deadly weapon known as "the hand of god" ;)

Again, sorry if a duplicate thread. If you guys find it, you can close this for sure. I just didn't see it; maybe locales/countries was mixed in with another thread about what we want to see in a Bond film.

Yep, Bond needs to go back to the place where it all began.

I would like to see Bond on a moutain again, much like the one at the end of FYEO.

This thread got me to thinking about Bond in weather. Have we ever seen Bond in the rain during a fight, chase, or even at all?

Am liking that, although we must be careful to avoid what they do in the Mission Impossible films - find a location that would look cool that Tom Cruise fancies hanging from and then try and force a story to fit the location.

Whilst I would love Bond to base jump of those sheer Norwegian cliffs, its difficult to envisage a plot whereby he a) finds himself up there and b) just happens to be carrying a parachute. To be honest TWSLM PTS is ludicrous when you think about it - why on earth would Bond go skiing along with a parchute on his back? They weigh a ton!

FYEO wasn't a mountain so to speak, more cliff I'd say

and no oddly enough, can't recall Bond in the rain at anytime during the last twenty-two outings, strange if you really think about it. It was raining with effect at the beginning of Royale when Obanno meets LeChiffre, but of course, no sign of Bond. It must have happened at some stage in the series but I really can't recall any such happening. Die Another Day may have been a shower of S--- , but I don't think we can really include that in it!

Yes, I knew this was a replicate of something hiding away somewhere in archives. Would it be really fair for Admin to close it down now though, I mean there's no real harm done and this version is much easier to read and concise, but we'll go with any eventual decisions

    Mr Samuel, you're slipping !

There was a big thing made at the time of how CR featured the first time it had rained in a Bond film.

The scene with Obanno and Le Chiffre springs to mind but isnt it also raining during the montage of Bond and Vespers romance when they come into the hospital room and fall off the bed?
I think this scene is the only time we have seen Bond get wet in the rain. In QOS its raining in London but do we see Bond outside? Can someone sadder than me remember if his coat is wet in the Mitchells flat scene?

Hes actually been snowed on more often OHMSS (blizzard near the barn) and QOS (final scene). Theres not many people who can say that.

I think we have hit a new low here in discussing Bondian minutae.

Don't laugh but since they are budget cutting, how about the Isle of Wight.
Lovely stunning green spaces, lots of coast line and a good liar on the west side of the island at the Needles

I'd be happy with more British locations. And I think somebody could definitely come up with a good reason for Bond to be in Norway - it would be worth it!
As for who keeps a parachute in their backpack ...? Well, like a boy scout Bond is always prepared. :D

I know that Bond has already gone to the USA several times, but I'd love to see these states get some filming in a Bond movie:

    -Tennessee (Nashville)
    -Hawaii
    -Georgia (Atlanta)
    -Illinois (Chicago)
-North Carolina (Asheville, where the Biltmore Estate is, could be a great location for a villain base or something, if the rights could be secured)
-Texas (San Antonio; the Riverwalk area there has some definite Bond location potential)
    -Washington D.C.
    -Pennsylvania (Philedelphia)
  • I heard that it had never rained in Bond movie before CR.It rained in QoS,so that 2 in 2 for DC in the rain

Really? Wow, that's strange. Now you've got me searching my brain for any instance of rain prior to Casino Royale!

Isn't it raining in OHMSS, when Bond and Tracy are In Draco's car in Berne?

Yes. Skyfall will be the fourth Bond film which features rain. And it'll be three of three for Craig.
