I want to see this one eventually but it looked better as a weekend binge watch to me when the season is over versus checking out a new episode once a week.
I quite like the one week wait, but that's more down to how much content I'm able to watch (or am up for), at the moment. I imagine it will be a terrific binge show too.
Episode two was just as good as the first one, but the plot didn't progress that much (not that that was a bad thing). Will watch episode three some time this week.
I don't mind it with certain shows but there are some that instantly give me a vibe as to whether or not it'd be juicier to enjoy it week after week or just soak it all in in a day or two. Some shows seem better in terms of their pacing when watched in such a short period of time, I feel like. Can't wait to check this one out eventually, the production design and costumes and everything seem ridiculously on point and accurate for the most part.
Is this an intended series for HBO or merely a limited one? Can't say I've read into it as much as I would've liked.
I'm like that too with most shows. This time it was different: I didn't feel like finding a show to binge, and I had no other new shows to watch. So I just gave the first episode a go, and when I'd finished it, I got the feeling like this was a show I could watch on an episode a week schedule. The production quality is great; the easiest comparison to make is Boardwalk Empire, which too was very on point production design and costume wise. Matthew Rhys is brilliant in the title role.
According to Wikipedia it's a mini series, so I imagine the episodes listed is all we're going to get. I could be wrong though.
This animated sci-fi anthology holds high quality.
I had been thinking of doing this for some time. Some episodes stick in my mind, but there are a lot that I don't remember, especially the last two series. So I am looking forward to revisiting this 90's phenomenon from the beginning. Kicking off with...
Series: 1
Episodes:
Pilot
Deep Throat
One of the funniest things I've seen in recent times. Those 14 seasons went down easily.
@Creasy47 It is, isn't it? And it also so doesn't care about offending people. I like its free-spirited attitude. Also, DeVito is PERFECT!
DeVito is an underrated genius. To think that people like him, Douglas and Nicholson were the top actors in the industry not so long ago. And then they started to fade away slowly. Nicholson even disappearing, which is a crying shame. DeVito should be in every single movie ever made ;)
Series: 1
Episodes:
Roland
The Erlenmeyer Flask
That brings the first series to a close. It's funny to revisit this show, and find what episodes stuck out, versus ones I had forgotten. Pilot, Tooms/Squeeze Ice, and The Jersey Devil are among the former.
Loved this show as a kid, when I would visit a neighbour with a Swedish TV2 antenna in order to see those reruns every Wednesday. Never saw the whole thing before, and had no idea there was another captain before Kirk.
It doesn t hold up so well today. especially the special effects are bad, but it is enjoyable for the nostalgia factor, and it also brings up some interesting scientological occult thematics.
The original British version is still the best. Seen most of it before, and bought the box this summer, so having a go at the whole thing. Brent is hilarious, and Gareth is even funnier.
COLUMBO LIKES THE NIGHTLIFE was a good Swan Song all things considered, some of the later episodes were not great. I have the Cigar Box Set essential viewing, I have not had a rewatch for a few years.
This Jerry Seinfeld series is mostly uninteresting, and his fake bouts of laughter are very annoying, especially when there is nothing fun going on. Some of the episodes are quite amusing however, like the ones with Ricky Gervais and Michael Richards.
Intriguing high-quality series. This is very popular right now.
Loved this in the 80s. The new version is just as funny and well made, but they do take it a bit too far at times.
Incidentally, Charlie (the young Body Man) to President Bartlett is a huge Bond fan.
Pretty good. I like that it is unpredictable.
Christmas comedy crime calendar. Pretty funny.
I won't elaborate on what's been said overall but its one of the best shows of all time.
