Good to see SP made it into the last three. With the (sometimes ridiculous) hate it gets on this forum.

Overall this list seems very reasonable.
    Bravo :-bd

    A very worthy winner!! ^:)^

Indeed. Not only the best PTS but the best introduction of a new Bond.

As for the rest, I'd say SF is much too high (very generic) but QOS too low.

  • I don't like how California Girls beat Thunderball. That just doesn't feel right.

And TWINE at 17 is a travesty but clearly most people don't think that, even though it gave us:
    -The great Bilbao sequence
    -The window stunt
-"oh, I'm sure they're perfectly rounded"
    -The beautiful cigar girl
    -The original Mi6 explosion
    -James Bond's greatest boat chase

So what if went on too long, everything in it was great.

The Anti Brosnan movement is weaker than in the past but still active.
Look at the movie game. That's about the only place in the world where GE is not considered a Top 10 movie.

Too true, too bad, too sad really. Oh well.

I always liked the TLD pts, but the last time i watched TLD i really loved it. No problem with it winning, it is probably in my top 3.
  • TLD won ? ok.
Its a very good film but the best PTS ? In my opinion its not that great. Plus it has (for me) John Barry's weakest score.
SP should have won. Its spectacular and incredibly well directed.

    My top 5

    1. Casino Royale
    2. The Living Daylights
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    4. From Russia with Love
    5. Skyfall

Well TLD is one of Barry's particularly good scores I thought. His weakest is definitely TMWTGG in my view.

But yes SP should have won.

    My top 5
    1. SP
    2. TLD
    3. TSWLM
    4. TWINE
    5. GE

The PTS is certainly the best part of Spectre. However I still find it to be slightly overrated. The opening shot is amazing but from that on I just find it ok. I am not even that impressed by the helicopter scenes, maybe because of the relatively obvious CGI.

SP PTS is probably it's finest moment but I personally find it the weakest of the Craig films and prefer the PTS to the previous 3, I'll take QOS over SP everytime.

The reason I voted for CR is to me it's the most balls out brilliant PTS of the series. It doesn't look like Sin City and it well and truly announces Craig's Bond like no other since Connery in DN.

TLD is a worthy winner, I've always admired it and remember being so thrilled seeing at the cinema, I must have seen it 3 times on the big screen. Back when Bond films didn't appear on home formats 3 months later and then took years to appear on TV.

A very worthy top 3. And it's nice to see MR's PTS get its due. OP and LALD should be switched. The notion that LALD has the worst PTS is beyond absurd.

@Perilagu_Khan what would be the worst in your opinion?

Connery, Dalton and Craig had the best introductions, but Connery is of course excluded from this list as Peter Hunt didn t invent the pts until the next film.

    Craig has the weakest introduction.
Best is Connery if that counts, otherwise clearly Dalton and Brosnan.

I'd have to say AVTAK's. OP and FYEO are strong competitors, though.

Regarding intro's and you can't actually call the bungee jump his intro, I believe Brosnan started in the toilet, quite ironic considering he exited with DAD back in the toliet once again.

GE started in the toilet, TND was his toilet seat, TWINE the toilet lid of his run, and DAD was the big flush.

Craig started in the toilets as well... Does that mean he will end in the toilets as well?
What is with this obscure toilet fetish?

    Thanks for hosting @BondJasonBond006
A worthy winner in TLD, but on the whole I can't say I agree personally on some of the other films final positions for PTS. But that's life. It is after all only a game, and a bit of fun.

But it wasn t like Fisher was taking a dump, while Bond just gave him a smile and knocked him out. CR shows how to use a toilet in a more appropriate way.

    Bondfilmwise.

Some people here get off on bashing Brosnan whenever they can, you get accustomed to it I have learned to laugh at it, after all it's just hilarious to read such stuff.

Yeah,"overrated" basically means "the majority favored this and I think it sucks" and "underrated" basically just means "the majority rated this low and I love it". Well, so what? It's a game. The results hardly mean you're not permitted to continue loving something or loathing it--they're just (ideally) an indication of how the majority participating feels about the quality of each choice and if your opinions or mine fall outside that it just means those opinions are fairly unique here.

Craig's intro was actually in Dryden's office, far more subtle and cool than Brosnan's corny line in the crapper.

CR definitley shows how to use a bathroom, that fight is brutal and well and truly announces Craig's Bond.

I don't like Brosnan's Bond and I make no secret of it, the same way someone constantly slags off Skyfall.

Lets face if you don't like it you'll slag it off and there is no point giving it an easy time.

All this trying to seem more adult about things to make others look ridiculous is a moot point especially when those people are just as viscious about aspects of the series they don't like.

I say if you don't like it say it but please don't make out you are on some moral high ground if you don't agree with said poster because were all as hypocritical as the next person.
