    I'm disappointed that TMWTGG's rather farcical opening that almost lacks Bond entirely is being picked over the likes of TWINE (best boat chase in the franchise) and especially TB (pure class, an amazing performance from Connery and a JETPACK).

    Yes exactly I fought for TWINE to the end, I can understand people thinking it was too long but really, how could they think that YOLT, TMWTGG, QOS or day I say it LTK are better? And TB did not deserve to go before California Girls.

    Not only the Boat chase but we got two great PTS in one with TWINE. I love the Bilbao bit very much too

    @IncompetentHenchman - I don't think there is a "dare" in it at all. LTK's PTS is widely regarded as mediocre, from what I know, and rightfully so.

    @00Agent - Yes, that was very good as well. In general, TWINE belongs to the upper echelons of Bond flicks in terms of PTS's.

    Brosnan always gets treated badly in most of these games, we have to live with that.
    Sadly, many of the outspoken Brosnan fans don't participate (anymore) in these games.

    You can make any argument for any PTS. I would say CR winning again (probably) is strange too as it is the least Bondesque PTS. It's more like a short of Sin City.

    The Brosnan era did have some great PTS in my opinion not a bad one in all his films.

    Not only was it overlong, it convoluted the plot immediately, and the boat chase itself was the epitome of the boring "action" that is the Broz era's hallmark. Gun's PTS, at a bare minimum, is visually fascinating.

    So I ignore this thread for a little while, and somehow the second best PTS in the series, TWINE's boat-chase, is eliminated. Why didn't I vote for it yesterday, why?

    @josiah CR began action-heavy but the action is balanced out with character interactions and an emphasis on plot. Not so in TND, TWINE or DAD. GE, I except, as it is my number one and there were actual characters in that film. Note that there is not necessarily anything wrong with a Bond film being mindless if you are in that mood and it is done right.

    Still, half of Craig's era is mindless, just look at QOS and SP.

    No problem with the boat chase, well apart from the idiotic bit where Bond leaves the Thames to drive through a restaurant. What goes before though in Bilbao, with the groan-inducing dialogue at the banker's office leaves the TWINE PTS, along with the rest the film near the bottom of my list.

    QoS gone again. it seems most people cant get past the editing on an inventive, exciting pre-credits sequence. Oh well! I agree with the statement said about the Brosnan era. The action usually goes on too long, and so the excitement is drained out of them (the tank chase, the boat chase, the hovercraft chase,the extremely tedious motorcycle chase from TND)
