    Goldeneye Reloaded;
Not my “go-to” Bond game, but still pretty engaging nonetheless. I admire the game for taking the liberty of reimagining Goldeneye to fit within the Craig Era, even if a Brosnan/GE fanboy like myself felt this is blasphemous (it’d be cool if a certain other Activision Bond game did the same thing....), gameplay wise, I think it’s the best of the FPS Activision titles in the series. I’m not a fan of the Call of Duty feel to this game, but eh, whatever. 8/10.

    Star Wars Starfighter;
I love this game. It’s unfortunately had a bit of a reputation of being just a “Rogue Squadron” ripoff, but I think it’s much more than that. It’s a game that truly gives the player an immersive Star Wars expierence, without being tied down to Episode 1. I love the main characters of the game; each of them have their own unique personalities and quirks; their ships also have different weaponry as well. At the end of the day, this is one of my favorites Star Wars games, and I hope more people realize it’s true greatness. 9/10.

I might pull out Goldeneye at some point soon honestly I am thinking of doing both Hitman and Bond series in the build up to Project 007

You should, it’s a solid game, probably the best from Activision’s tenure with the license.

Love the Quantum video game. I still haven’t played Blood Stone...I played it on NDS long ago, and I picked up the 360 version just last year, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’m always revisiting AUF, Nightfire, FRWL, or GE64

The Last of Us (2013). It's funny and scary at the same time. Ellie will be remembered for a long time to come.

Getting ready for Hitman 3, by playing Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2. Has anyone else had trouble with the Meeting The Rieper trophy in Hitman (2016)? It just won't pop. Get the invitation, go up to the auction room, wait for Dalia and.... it doesn't pop. Same with Mastery level 20, hasn’t popped.

That's weird. I know sometimes the challenges can be quite wonky and require the most obscure pre-requirements for them to unlock. Try this one out - I know it sounds exactly like what you labeled but maybe there's something you've missed:

It's been so long since I first attempted the trophy, I don't know if I have tried going in with a pistol, and hiding it in the bin in the toilets for this trophy. It's worth a try.

I know others have had issues getting it to unlock, even if all you have to do is make it to the auction, invitation in hand, and meet her. Hell, I think you can even use the auction starting point and it should unlock there (though perhaps not, the invitation may be required without actually saying so). Try that, if that listed method isn't working. Hiding the pistol really shouldn't matter one way or the other.

Well that's the other problem, the level 20 Mastery trophy hasn't popped either. I know that I have reached it, as I have the Auction House available as a starting location. I tried that, and while 47 still introduces himself as Tobias Rieper, neither trophy popped. It's not a massive issue, just annoying.

Level 20 is incredibly wonky for most of the missions, sadly. Have you tried completing some more challenges to see if it'll unlock? Sometimes doing bonus challenges will let you reach Level 20 without the trophy/achievement actually unlocking.

You may also want to ensure that most of those challenges you complete are within a mission that you actually finish. I know the game allows save scumming but it's incredibly glitchy, so you can be completing challenges that aren't properly tracked or counted, regardless of what they say, because the mission itself wasn't actually completed.

Lead up to Project 007 Review 1

    James Bond the Duel

Honestly when people talk about the birth of Bond in video games many discuss Goldeneye and while it's a great game which I will be playing next for me James Bond :the Duel is actually to me the beginning of the modern Bond shooter. For Start there are actual objectives, there are save states, and you can play the game stealthfully or action packed.

lets start with the story, I believe the game has you playing as 007 fighting a doctor who is cloning your old henchmen for some strange reason you have 4 missions and a boss battle. the Story is far to sci fi for Dalton's bond but here we have it.

Mission 1 The Boat: first I love how you can hide in door ways and be stealthful around the boat walk past guards etc. I also love that you can go anywhere in the level and save the 5 girls any way you want. the first mini boss is Jaws and is relatively easy to take out. after setting the bomb you can either take the submarine or the jetpack and there you go mission 1 complete

Mission 2 The Forest: this gives a new gameplay mechanic of going back and forth on over head vines. now you have to save 7 girls the level feels larger and you have 2 bosses Baron Samedi and some giant machine that looks like a left over from Sonic the hedgehog (if/when Calvin Dyson hits this I can picture him asking if Dr. Robtnik is actually the villain) once you find the bomb run to the exit and you are on

Mission 3 The Volcano Layer: this is the hardest of the levels in my opinion (apart from the boss) you have pits of lava, fire balls shooting out different ways and you have May Day with her kicks. I had to save almost every few feet for this one. Also the extra boss is even more Sonic and Knuckles then 007 but a bunch of well placed shots and after going through an obstacle course to get the exit the volcano base is blown up and there you go.

Mission 4 The Space Station: 5 girls you have to save this time. This level feels like a mixture of Moonraker and oddly enough Goldeneye (though the film wasn't in production yet when the game came out) the location is quite cool. I found this one only slightly easier then the volcano layer largely due to the save spots and girls being spread out and giving you some health bonuses each time. setting the bomb and one last Battle with a laser craft and we move to the boss battle

Mission 5 Boss battle: here is where it is odd I could of sworn the main bad guy was some doctor cloning bond villains but in the game it's Jaws in a Doctor Robtnik craft that I swear was so hard I would of broken my controller 8 times if i got this back in the day. but once you beat the game you save the final girl and given an interesting shot of Bond walking to a girl in a black widow outfit and the LOTUS ESPRITE is the car Bond was driving? why not the Aston Martin...

overall I am giving this a 4/5 up next Goldeneye

I've been super enamoured lately with Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the Xbox One. Trying to level up Boba Fett as much as possible! Does anyone else play? Would be fun to make an MI6Community co-op team, or play in some of the big battles!

I actually returned to the game sometime last year when it was a PS Plus freebie (I had played it around release, much like the first installment, but inevitably got rid of it). Didn't have the same sort of punch that the first title did but I don't know, there's just something so immersive and exciting about these titles. I particularly enjoyed that Instant Action mode that seemed to incorporate real players and A.I. bots alike. It's a blast.

The game was a total disaster on release, though, given their scummy business tactics, but the inherent product was very, very fun.

Yes! I heard terrible things about the launch with regards to lootboxes and such. It's interesting to come into the game now, because you still earn credits and "diamonds" or something (which you can still buy from the xbox marketplace I think), but they seem to be completely worthless now as all emotes and costumes for all characters are unlocked by default, and all upgrades and things are earned through gameplay.

I was hesitant for a long time about it because of what I'd heard (and bad experiences with the first game), but Mando reinvigorated my love of Star Wars and I had to jump in. It's been awesome so far. I've recently found co-op mode which is four human players on a team with AI allies and foes. It's a great way to get to jump in as the heroes you want to play as, which is difficult in the regular game modes.

I guess they realized the game was "dead" at this point and unlocked everything for everyone, which really has to suck for the loyal, day one players who sunk a crazy amount of time and in-game currency into those unlocks. That's the state of things these days, though, so no surprise there sadly.

It really is fun, even when I'm getting my ass handed to me by insanely high rank characters with maxed out heroes and villains.

Yeah, I think they do a good job of a game where you have players simultaneously playing as a stormtrooper, and Luke Skywalker. I like playing as the troopers, and once in awhile Luke flies at you swinging around that lightsaber and you're absolutely toast, but it happens infrequently enough that you're just like "yeah, that makes sense, fair enough", you're pumped a bit to see Luke in action, and then you're back in the action yourself. It's a dynamic that could easily be frustrating but I think they've done a good job balancing it (ie, you don't see Heroes and Villains too often).

They make a very Star-Wars-immersive product by having you as a boots on the ground soldier amidst a big SW conflict with starfighters zooming around overhead and crashing, and vehicles exploding and stuff, and then you realize all of those components are player-controlled and you have a good shot at doing whatever you want to do in the battle, it's a great feeling.

I'm also in the same boat - give me the simplistic Stormtroopers and generic fighters over the heroes and villains any day of the week. I love the gunplay a lot and also enjoy not being as big of a target for the enemy team as I am when I'm playing as one of the named characters.

Damn, now you have me itching to re-download and play it!

Count me in on the internet connection required for video games being a bad thing for them. I’m not too worried about Project 007 requiring internet connection though. Reason why is because I think more older gamers are more interested in 007 than younger. Plus, Gotham Knights has been confirmed by the creators not to be internet connection required. They want people to enjoy it for as it is. Hopefully, more video game companies will follow soon. Namely the COD games! I’m just after the main story campaigns, same with Project 007. Fingers crossed that we get a winner!

It’s also tough to accomplish much if you’d play as a hero until you’ve levelled the hero up, which can be a challenge; coop makes it much easier though.

Get it on Xbox/PC and we can team up! Lol

    Goldeneye 64

How do I review such a mammoth game.. Well a few things to point out first

    1. I used the unlock all levels cheat on the emulator because trying to beat levels like Train and Control with out an n64 controller is impossible I did do it years ago but A) I have no idea where my n64 is

    2. On that note if anyone else has played the game on an Emulator do I just suck or are the controls insanely complex and not easy at ALL

well with those preambles out of the way here is my review of the game to this day everyone and their brother played and sadly everyone thinks is the only bond game..

Dam: this is a classic opening Level and one with a lot of cool additional objectives. Its a level that you can play stealthfully thanks to the silenced PP7

Facility: my favorite level of the game and one that is easiest to be stealthful.

Runway: who doesn't love the fast and frantic nature of this level plus it has a tank!

Surface 1: Where many don't like this level I kind of enjoy the Snowy feel of it it feels vast and kind of interesting

Bunker 1: this one feels rushed it's definitely in my mind one of the smallest locations (until it gets built out in Bunker 2)

Silo: this was never one of my favorites it just feels well bland maybe its the color scheme maybe its the run and gun feel this was never one of my faves

Frigate: a Silence Machine Gun a cool ship and some easy objectives what is not to love about this level

Surface 2 I love the red skies and how dark and creepy this level looks

Bunker 2 I wish the throwing knives were easier to use cause in concept they are very cool but in reality its quite hard and I hate how long it takes to get to the silenced pistols

Statue Park: and this level introduces something that basically is why sorry Goldeneye will never be my favorite, NO SILENCED WEAPON. from this point it is unsilenced weapons which annoys me.

Archive: I would love this level 10 times more if i could have a silence weapon and be able to be stealthful the location is beautiful but sadly well... beyond that grievance I love the level of detail between this and Facility this is one of my favorite levels.

Streets: its a fantastic level who doesnt love driving in the tank. has anyone played the level without driving the tank lol

Train: I love this level especially on agent when you shoot the boxes in the frist cart and get the RCP900 now on the n64 i had no issue with getting out of the train but on the emulator the controls were so hard that

Jungle: this level is kind of fun but not the best. the pros are the natural enviorment and Natalya's gun play the cons the cave area and the drone guns

Control: this level THIS LEVEL I cant stand it. Natalya has a death wish (she could at least give you her Magnum so the guards are one hit kills) am I the only person who found this level excruciating

Caverns: We are back on a fun and dare I say it an easier level I must say of the original N64 this was always one of my favorite levels plenty of ammo plenty of cool weapons plenty of body armor just a great time.

Cradle: I love this level though its quite challenging

Aztec: Man I forgot how hard this level was. incredibly fun but incredibly hard

Egyptian: This level is way to short though it is a lot of fun

Overall a really fun game will it remain Number 1 no probably not up next @NickTwentyTwo favorite bond game James Bond 007 for the game boy a game I WISH Calvin dyson would review hell I would buy him a delicatessian in stainless steel if he did.

Thanks to Playstation Plus, I have been playing Control.

The game is fantastic, the whole set up is amazing, a very strong art style, and the game is a blast to play, fun combat and fun exploration.

The story for me is initially very intriguing but I felt it just ran out of steam at the moment it was meant to be barrelling head first into the final endgame. But not enough to ruin the experience.

If IO didnt have the 007 licence, I feel Remedy could also do a fantastic job.

Even if you only subscribe back for a month, it is well worth the £5 to play it. I’m on PS5, so have been playing it with the silky smooth 60fps option. The game is heavily physics based so to have that run so smoothly is a real treat.

Between this and Shadow of the Tomb Raider last month, I have easy justified my £40/year subscription already.

    Rediscovered F.E.A.R on PS Now.

Scared me in 2008 and scared me again 13 years later.

Looking to find a copy of Alien Isolation.

I couldn't even finish F.E.A.R all those years ago, was too damn scary for me. Had my buddy finish it while I sat there watching him play. Damn fun game, though, especially that combat.

And you can never go wrong with Alien: Isolation. Such an immersive and atmospheric horror game, really well executed. I got it on sale for Christmas for maybe $15 several years ago and it was worth every penny.
