I haven't played the latest ones. But TESTAMENT was good, CRIMES & PUNISHMENTS was better. DEVIL'S DAUGHTER was ok, though I don't understand why it was so hated. I have not played Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, as it is a digital only game, no physical release is planned.
It always saddens me when modern day video games don’t have physical media releases. Call me old fashioned, but I always feel comfortable with physical media.
Exactly how I feel. Which is a shame, as I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
Same here. My dad stopped me from selling my Nintendo 64, and both that console and his advice are two of the greatest gifts he’s ever given me.
I really want to check these out but I feel like I'm incorrectly recalling just how easy or hard they were. I know it'll be nostalgic as hell to return to though so I'll probably pick it up when I get paid next week.
I remember TR2 being very difficult for me in any case compared to the other 2 games in the trilogy. TR3 will be great nostalgia as i played that more than any game.
I have tried playing all 3 games on STEAM over the last few years though had problems with glitches and controls, finally being able to play these games again without issues is as much a relief than anything else.
It did just occur to me how the games are saved on Xbox and STEAM may differ if they are the same as the originals, I may have made a mistake buying the Xbox version.
Yeah just the idea that any bugs and glitches might be fully wiped out and it'll play in a way more cohesive and natural way has me super excited to see what they've come up with.
Game play starts at 3:48, two days to go this looks great.
I try to purchase physical copys when I can though over 50% of my games are digital now though I have a lot of STEAM games. There is not the same resistance as there is with dvds and bluray in gaming unfortunately, the older I get the more proud I am of my vast physical film and TV collection.
I had no idea it was play anywhere on Xbox so can play it on my pc also, relieved I did not opt for the STEAM version.
I heard that TRIV may get a remaster if this trilogy is successful, the pre orders were encouraging so hopefully this will just be the start.
Edited:After having a quick look at all the games in the trilogy, playing them now in order. What I love about TR 1 - 3 is nothing is sign posted or really made easy, despite playing these games numerous times over the decades :-O I still have to figure out what to do.
Edited: just entered the Lost Valley in TR remaster, this is where you really see the leap in graphics.

New Tomb Raider Lara Croft Design Revealed...
Crystal Dynamics has released a new design for Lara Croft, merging her classic and reboot looks for the first time.
https://www.thegamer.com/tomb-raider-lara-croft-new-design-classic-reveal/
Not too impressed by Lara's new design for the new upcoming game later this year.
I'd be surprised if she wears OG Lara's booty shorts. I like both the OG Lara, and Survival Lara, so it's a win for me. What concerns me, is the news of Embracer Group laying off 1000+ staff, and cancelling 29 games!
Its not the costume, Lara just looks a bit hard faced to me, its only one image admittedly.
That is rough with so many layoffs at Embracer, I wonder if titles swill be sold off. It also makes owners of digital games that little bit more nervous if existing games get pulled that have been purchased.

I can't stop playing TR remastered, its taking over my life lol Just tried playing with modern control's I don't know how anyone would enjoy the game using this method way too restrictive with Lara's movements, Tank controls is the only way to play these OG games IMO.
So my backlog currently is:
- Ghost of Tsushima (currently focused on)
- Crysis 2
- Crysis 3
- Death Stranding
- Resident Evil 4 Remake (finish Separate Ways and perhaps a second play through)
- Kena Bridge of Spirits
- Gran Turismo 7
Additionally, when PS Plus updates on 20th, there will also be
- Need for Speed Unbound
- The Outer Worlds
- Lego Jurassic Park
- Resistance Retribution
And at some point I would like Robocop Rogue City and the Avatar game.
I need more time :-O
Currently, I am cycling between God Of War (2018), Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning and Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter.

Taking a break from TRIII remastered, the combination of Shiva, Piranhas, King Cobra's and psychotic Monkeys my nerves are shredded lol I forgot how unforgiving this game is, the slightest mistake the game punishes you.
Shiva looks even more menacing in this remaster, the constant thud of footsteps really gets to you lol
I really like the roll of the ledge move.
How have we gone so backwards?
I reckon that inn a years time, Ubisoft will pull the plug on it. I just don't see it being successful. It's as if Ubisoft are determined to make players like microtransactions, the GAAS model etc...
They did indeed. How can they be so tone deaf to what players want?
