Good God the Youtube comments section pisses me off. Been arguing with this guy who initially was complaining about AC being the same thing every year. I point out the changes they've made, particularly in the new one, and then he does a complete 180 and starts complaining about how it's too different, how they should've just made a pirate game and dropped the Assassin title.

The moral of the story: Some people just want to bitch and moan about anything that's popular, and they'll never be pleased.

    Arkham Origins

I'm surprised at how similar this feels. It's been two years since Arkham City but this feels like a yearly release title. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I suppose. Still, it's good fun. The Deathstroke fight has been the best bit so far. Never heard of him before but now I'm really hoping he's in the next film.

One thing that's annoyed me though is how scared they are to use anybody other than the Joker. Don't want to spoil anything but there's a plot twist not far in and it turns out Joker is essentially the main villain. Again. Just a bit dull really, it'd be nice if they focused on someone else for a change.

@thelivingroyale, that's why I try to avoid arguments on Youtube/film sites. I've had a few lately with children who you can't argue with, and will just call you irrelevant names solely to get under your skin. It's pathetic. Argued elsewhere about an actor that I found to be underrated (not a rude thing to say at all) because I hadn't seen him in much, but I found him to be an excellent actor. Oh, but I was an idiot with misinformation because I had yet to see him in ONE SHOW that was ever so popular to everyone on this planet. I hate people sometimes.

It's unbeliveably difficult using a keyboard but it's still so much fun.

I managed to pull myself away from (re playing) Batman: Arkham Asylum long to continue (re-playing) The Saboteur. I didn't complete any of the missions, I just spend some time on the free play events. And what about the soundtrack...?

Every time I hear that on the radio, I pull over and let the song finish before continuing with my journey.

@MajorDSmythe, is that game worth a playthrough? I'm sure it's real cheap now.

If you're looking for a Grand Theft Auto style game set in WWII France, try it. I don't think you'll need to pay more than £10 for it now.

I saw gameplay years ago, looked really artsy. Something about the areas you unlock or liberate are in color and other areas are in black and white?

Areas of the map which are under German occupation appear as b/w (save for the odd but of colour). As you liberate each area of the map, they turn full colour, and the German presence in that area decreases.

That's really cool. My buddy got it for Christmas one year (when he got into some "gaming" phase because it was what his friends did), and he said it was terrible. Played it for a few minutes and traded it in. I guess I never should've taken his word for it, because he never really played games before, and it wasn't the typical fast-paced game, I suppose. I figure with how cheap it is now and wanting to go back to play older games on the 360, I might give it a shot. Not sure what system(s) you have, but since we're both fans of horror, you should check out Clive Barker's 'Jericho.' Picked it up used at GameStop on the Xbox 360 for only $4.40 or so and it was so entertaining and simplistic. I loved it.

I have a PS3, and it turns out that Clive Barker's Jericho was released on Sony's console too. I have often seen Clive Barker's Jericho in shops, but I never took the next step of buying it. Following your recommendation, i'll keep an eye out for it, and buy it next time I see a copy.

@Creasy47, if you can find it at a low price, The Saboteur is definitely a game worth checking out. It isn't the greatest thing you'll ever play, but it does what it aims to do damn well and is very beautiful, mixing black and white with color impressively. It feels really good when you save a section of Nazi controlled Paris and watch the black and white shades bleed away to color as you gradually retake the city back from the goose-steppers. As @MajorDSmythe also points out, the soundtrack is cracking. It has been out for a long time, so you should be able to get it for as low as $20 or less, depending on where you look.

Yes! When Ground Zeroes hits, I'm staying in doors, closing the curtains, switching my phone off for at least 5 days and bringing food, snacks and drinks all into my room and playing the crap out of the game......with SREALTH. All this gun blazing a nonsense I'm seeing in the vids is alien to me and isn't how to play metal gear. That being said, I'm going to have a complete metal gear marathon from early December.

"Srealth"? I'm going to assume "stealth" is the word you meant (r and t are right next to one another on the keyboard). There isn't too much action in the trailers released so far. The TGS Nighttime demo (the actual Ground Zeroes portion) was mostly stealth up until the ending. The daytime demo then intentionally showed off an alert mode. The E3 trailer had some action after Big Boss saves Kaz, but I assumed there was probably an alarm going off after he rescued a prisoner. There's quite a bit of stealth in the trailers. I, personally, can't wait for the PS3/PS4 exclusive Deja Vu mission.

I wonder if the De Ja Vu mission will have voice acting segments. If they do...well, that's going to be very very interesting.

Haha, that sounds fun. That's how I act whenever I get a game I have been excited for. It becomes the main priority in my life and things like sleep, food and water take second chair. ;)

@brady, yep, gotta be fully immersed and create the right atmosphere for such things lol.

@Agent007, if the De Ja Vu has vo segments, does that mean Keifer is going to be voicing solid snake too? If that's the case then I'm already disappointed.

Keifer isn't voicing Solid Snake, he's voicing Big Boss AKA Punished Snake in MGSV.

I know that but if solid snake is appearing in the de Ja Vu segment as has been confirmed and if there's going to be some voice overs for the part, who's voicing solid snake? Keifer or Hayter? That's what I'm getting at.

Yes, Keifer Sutherland is doing the voice for Deja Vu Solid Snake (much to my disappointment). I just hope the mission is a long one and full of nostalgia, because if it's short, I'm gonna be pissed.

@MajorDSmythe, do let me know what you think of 'Jericho' if you do end up checking it out.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, sounds very cool. I don't need the greatest of graphics in a game, if it's entertaining enough, I'll love it, just like 'Jericho,' so I'm happy to hear it's good fun and has a great soundtrack. I see it's only $7 used at GameStop, so I'll most certainly check it out the next time I'm in there.

I'm giving Keifer the benefit of the doubt. He's a great actor, and Big Boss is a great role, so hopefully he'll do the best with it.

I think Keifer is a great successor to the role. I know in recent years, David Hayter has been really straining his throat by doing the Snake voice so maybe time off is just what he needs. And before you know it, there might be a Metal Gear NES remake in the style of Snake Eater and he'll be back as Solid Snake.

I still say they brought in Sutherland....
partly to make room for Hayter to cameo as young Solid Snake in the final act

I honestly feel this way (spoiler tagged below):
Solid Snake won't appear at all during the main story of the game, but I'm willing to bet that in voice-over, he'll show up during the post-credits scene, which will be a remake of a scene from Metal Gear 1. When this happens, David Hayter will be providing the voice.

We gotta remember we are dealing with Kojima here. The guy loves to trick us, so of course I think Hayter will provide the voice for Solid Snake at some point in this game.

I have been reading alot of articles about how Sutherland is voicing the role of Snake(people still confuse Solid Snake with Naked Snake/Punished Snake/Big Boss). Sutherland is voicing Big Boss people!!! aaarrggggghhhh

Kojima has trolled me for far too long. For now, I've convinced myself Hayter is done and Keifer voicing solid snake in the de ha Vu segment is the final nail in the coffin. Change BB's voice? Fine, he isn't solid snake but to have someone else other than Hayter voice solid snake is heresy! Still getting the game though and if there are any pleasant surprises, great but until then, I'll remain slightly disappointed.
