Overhyped yes.
I'll never understand that Goldfinger is called overrated by some people.
The same goes for TSWLM and GE.
If you don't like the actor it still can be a great movie IF one can lose his prejudices.
I've been into Bond since I was about 12, So that 40 years a Bond fan. ;)
I love them all even DAD and Moonraker ( both I've recently watched).
Although I also love the rebooted 007 with Daniel.
I realise we all have different opinions and in fact see different things
In these great movies, but honestly I love them all, I'll not go into too much
Boring detail, but I have so many great memories of lying on the floor as a
Kid watching Bond with my Dad, then in the Cinema that I can't bring myself
To criticize them. :))
I just sit back and enjoy them. So will look forward to reading this thread. :)
Looking forward to reading more in this thread.
Goldfinger, was the template for every film that followed, that has to be respected.
TB, the underwater sequences are awesome, something cinema audiences of the
60s have never seen before. In fact we've never seen since. It was done on a truly
epic scale, and was pushing the boundaries of what could be done.
The Ski jump in TSWLM, was a huge visual statement " Bond is Back!", it got
cheers in many cinemas and the film gave the series a great shot in the arm.
Critics?
Bond fans?
The general public?
All of the above?
