Yea wasn't the guy that actually did the alligator/crocodile stunt named Kananga?
@Walecs I think you're right.
These were from Blu-Ray. Let me just say that I had no idea that I would wake up to 34 comments this morning. I was fairly certain that this would go straight to the bottom, and would never be commented on. I'm amazed by how this has gotten more than I ever expected.
It's a new topic ....kinda different :)
Congratulations, @PropertyoOfALady! =D>

And there may be subtle differences between releases (the GF blu ray might be missing 1/3 second due to the absence of the door slam right before the title sequence)
Yes. I doublechecked it, viewed it in slow motion to check if there's a PTS but after the MGM lion there's only a black screen for a second. Strange.
Those 20 seconds of gunbarrel is that include Presents credits.. ;)
Around 13 minutes and DAD is 11.
Coming up next:
How much screentime Desmond Q get in all of his 17 movies and is this more or les then Judi Dench M in 8 movies or Bernard Lee M in 12 movies (Include couple of seconds of his painting in Twine)
:D
That'll keep me busy over the long holiday weekend :))

Then screentime of each side-character.
Then your suggestions :))
That'll keep me (and Property) busy for a while.
I already started doing the PTS and other stuff, for 6 movies. Another 6 will follow tonight :)
Nice suggestions, once all the data is here, we can make correlations and comparisons :)

NOTE:
Before anyone thinks I'm gone bonkers completely ( @TheWizardOfIce is an exception, he already knows I'm crazy) I do this kind of thing for a living.
I'm a business analyst, so key figures, statistics and numbers are my forte and daily business
:D
True :))
film logo, gun barrel, PTS, title sequence in numbers:
From Russia With Love
MGM lion: 10 seconds
gun barrel: 22 seconds
PTS: 2 minutes 38 seconds
titles: 2 minutes 26 seconds
Total: 5 minutes 36 seconds
Goldfinger
MGM lion: 10 seconds
gun barrel: 22 seconds

Total: 7 minutes 48 seconds
Live And Let Die
MGM lion/UA logo: 23 seconds
gun barrel: 23 seconds
PTS: 4 minutes 09 seconds
titles: 2 minutes 42 seconds
Total: 7 minutes 37 seconds
The Living Daylights
MGM lion/old UA logo: 20 seconds
gun barrel: 22 seconds
PTS: 6 minutes 51 seconds
titles: 2 minutes 46 seconds
Total: 10 minutes 19 seconds
Licence To Kill
MGM lion/old short UA logo: 15 seconds
gun barrel: 18 seconds
PTS: 8 minutes 14 seconds
titles: 2 minutes 47 seconds
Total: 11 minutes 34 seconds
GoldenEye
MGM lion/modern UA logo: 25 seconds
gun barrel: 20 seconds
PTS: 9 minutes 48 seconds
titles: 2 minutes 47 seconds
Total: 13 minutes 20 seconds
So based on this these are the current tenures of each actor:
Sean: 695.43 mins
Laz: 141.12
Rog: 873.24
Tim: 258.51
Broz: 494.59
Dan: 521.56
So Dan only has to make one more to be the second longest serving Bond (assuming its longer than 1hr 34 mins).
I cant ever see Rog's total being caught although he was 45 when he started which is pretty remarkable. If they get someone when they are 35 who keeps his youthful looks as long as Rog then even with a 3 year gap between films that total is achievable.
I stand corrected. I wrote that at 1 in the morning and was seeing 5hrs 21 not 521 minutes.
My maths was indeed wrong - much like your English old son.
I'll finish the logo/gun barrel/PTS/titles statistic tonight.
I'll also do a ranking for each category.
You can then copy paste it into your opening post.
Then we can decide what to measure next :) I'll PM you.
