According to the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15225021 actor George Baker has sadly passed away.
Baker played Sir Hilary Bray in the 1969 Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Captain Benson in 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me.
Outside of Bond he is probably best known as Inspector Wexford.

Sad news. I love his performance as Sir Hilary, even for the few minutes he was on screen. R.I.P.

No, what a shame :( I really liked him, he seemed to be a great down-to-earth person. I'll protect the autograph he sent me with care

    Rest in peace Mr. Baker

He lived a good long life, it seems, and eventually found a fond place in the British public's heart thanks to Wexford, although that was far from my favourite TV detective, but still.

An always likeable actor and a well regarded member of the Bond alumni.

    RIP

@007manny: 3 Bond movies? I thought he was only in two, OHMSS and TSWLM.
  • Don't forget he was also among the Number Twos who tormented Patrick McGoohan's Number Six in The Prisoner.
