The critics generally think this is the best of the trilogy when it comes to comradeship and characters. They say that because of that this film feels closest to Gene Roddenberry's original TV Series from the 1960's. And critics also say that this is the "perfect summer blockbuster", that simply is loads of fun and has wonderful action.
On the other hand, I also read that "Michael Bay has won". The action at times is predictable, and for the 3rd time in the movie franchise history the Enterprise
"Star Trek Beyond" currently is at 94% on RottenTomatoes.

Why would it? It's a poll. You should only need to bump this once a week at most.
No, but it would have been nice if "Star Trek" deserves two separate topics, one about TV-series and one about Movies.
I find the discussions in the general "Star Trek" topic unfocused and at times meandering too much from one subject to another.
I think, and I said it many times, it's better to separate all your ideas and other talk about "Star Trek" into movies and TV-series.
