Ci5 The Professionals. MOVIE Version

The classic 70's TV series The Professionals which late Gorden Jackson (Upstair & Downstairs as head of the Ci5Civilian Investigation 5 nothing M the character Cowley. His Two professional team men Brodie (Lewis Collins) Doyle (Matin Shaw)Judge John Deed & A&Estar, From 1978 to 1983. Their Car Trade Mark was Ford, Granada, Escort & Capri range. A lot of romance & action. Later Late Edward Woodward after his The Equalizer days took over Ci5 after where the late Gorden Jackson left. His character Harry Malone. His Professional team Kal Weber as Chris Keel & his partner Collin Wells as Sam Curtis & extra Lexa Doig as Tina Backus also know as Backup their Computer & professional Guinness.
Now The movie Version had been announced. I don't who will be cast but the original Character like Cowley Brodie & Doyle will return to the Big Screen. Jason Straham & Liam Neeson are the contenders for the cast. If you have any suggestion who be great to cast let have it.

    Well I remember You Only Live twice&Diamonds are forever ,UFO star Steve Bishop starred in a Episode of the Professionals. Lewis Collins & Martin Shaw were both guests as Villains in The New Avengers oppersite Joanne LumbleyOn Her Mystery Secret Service,Patrick McNeeA View to a Kill & Late Gareth Hunt the episode Obsession. Martin Shaw played Joanne Lumbley's ex Fiancee.

    For those not old enough to remember The Professionals was some top entertainment back in the day, it felt like Bond to a degree, but with two bonds, not so immaculately dressed and locations were kept strictly in and around London for the most part, no global adventures here, but it was some really fun filled episodes that always kept the entertainment. I don't believe they ever made a feature film from it, although there was plenty of merchandise to go with the series at the time apparently. If there was ever a time to do a Professionals movie it would of been 30 years ago with the original cast, anything other from there on just wouldn't work for me. The Professionals will always be Jackson, Collins and Shaw, nobody can ever replace them

    You're right, Baltimore. In fact, the remake with Eward Woodward was abysmal. Still, one good thing: Lexa Doig.

    I stoppend watching the new Professionals after the second or third episode, it was just too awful to bear. There would have been a great Professionals film if they'd done one 15 years ago, with Collins or Shaw as head of the team. At the time of the series Shaw wasn't interested in prolonging it or taking it to the big screen. Collins already had a few projects lined up, Who Dares Wins and other war/mercenary flicks. There was talk of Collins taking over Bond from Moore even. But Moore returned again and Collins's career took a dive.

    OMG that would be great especially if the Statham was involved as bodie, I do miss the series and wish they ended it better than they did

    I just now about one of the professionals Lewis Collins who passed away recently. He was great actor. I read he did a James Bond Audition. He will be sadly missed. He won't be there to see the movie version of the Professionals. It decade or 2 when Gordon Jackson passed away. I hope Martin Shaw Judge John Deed& George Gently star pay tribute to his former professional partner.

    If the movie Version of The Professionals Ci5 was in making. Daniel Craig can go from Bond George Cowley as Ci5 leader. But I don't know who should play his professionals agents

    My concern would more what cars they'd be driving :D
    I guess Mustangs would work as they actually sell them here now, but it doesn't seem right somehow.

    Martin Campbell should direct it, he direct 5 episode over three seasons.
    I bought boxset with all seasons of the original series. Exept quike previews i don't it whatch it yet. Then there is also the second series named the new professionals but mabey it is intresting enough to start with a movie who also can contune on possible new series.

    George can be played by Bill Nighy. Timothy Dalton can play old friend of George. Brosnan can play litle chacter like bank guy or something. Leathal Weapon tv series writers can be consider as writers and (whyle i haven't seen second series yet) writers of Bulletproof (with Lashana Lynch).
