Horowitz also wrote a series of "Moriarty" novels... I asked him on Twitter if he'd be into writing a "Blofeld" novel about the man prior to Thunderball, but he has yet to respond. :P

A possible announcement on Thursday, perhaps? I’d like to have Hugo Drax’s backstory be written in a short story.

Maybe a series of short stories outlining the backstory of some of the villains? Wasn't Le Chiffre a Dacau survivor?

There are a lot of similarities between Horowitz and John Gardner: both long term thriller writers who had both written well-received Sherlock Holmes continuation novels before taking on the Bond gig. There's also the connection of the Bond take-offs of Gardner's Boysie Oakes and Horowitz's Alex Rider which could be seen as auditions for a future Bond continuation role. It's what I always say: You need a prolific thriller writer to write Bond thrillers.

What about the writing Duo Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers?
Even though I don't like every movie they wrote, a long awaited (in my opinion) return to more fun and self-irony would be almost guaranteed if they would write a Bond script. Also, their newest work, the new Spider-Man, seems to receive good reviews.

Or what about Marn Davies & Ivan Atkinson, who co-wrote some of Guy Ritchies latest movies (including the upcoming "Operation Fortune") ?

Sebastian Gutierrez (Leopard Skin), he is writer and directer.

Leopard Skin (8 part mini series, with total screentime of around 240-256 minutes) has that Killing Eve sarcasm and episode title cards.

He wil possible write a part for Italian/English wife ''Carla Gugino'' for in the movie.
