Wojciech Kilar's work on The Ninth Gate makes it a far better film. Same goes for his work on Death & The Maiden, although in that case, the film is also quite good.
Nearly everything Jerry Goldsmith touched, including Malice, Along Came A Spider, Total Recall, Basic Instinct, Hollow Man etc. etc.
That's just off the top of my head.
Basil Poleduris's score is incredible. Since the film has dialogue few and far between it needs the music to carry it along.
Conan wouldn't be half as good without the amazing score.
I think it's one of the greatest scores ever composed.
1. The Mission (1986, Ennio Morricone)
2. Less Than Zero (1987, Thomas Newman)
3. The Amityville Horror (1979, Lalo Schifrin)
4. White Palace (1990, George Fenton)
5. The Deep (1977, John Barry)
6. Zero Dark Thirty (2012, Alexandre Desplat)
7. A Beautiful Mind (2001, James Horner)
8. The Social Network (2010, Tent Reznor and Atticus Ross)
I think I'll give it a watch tomorrow. It's been a while.
I know this movie gets a lot of flack but I think it's a decent Star Trek movie and Jerry Goldsmith's score makes it watchable.
=D>
Yeah that's an amazing score.
They used a Kilar piece for the Schindler's List trailer. Incredible music.
1492: Conquest of Paradise
A View to a Kill
Exorcist II: The Heretic
Zombi 3
Beyond the Door (Chi sei?)
The International
Who Dares Wins
Just from the top of my head. Obviously there are more.
Great Vangelis score. Abysmal film!
Absolutely love that film to be honest.
Good god! It was the longest few hours I've ever spent in a cinema! Felt like it was 7 hours long!
Must admit I rather like Who Dares Wins
The SAS assault at the end is a great sequence! The rest of the film is a bit meh but it's a guilty pleasure for me!
The Roy Budd score really is mean and cool!
I must admit I'm often more liable to watch the last 15 minutes than the whole film!
Pretty awful fantasy film from the early 80's
But what a score from James Horner!
By our man here, David Arnold.
Haven't seen Wild Things for years.
I remember it being a good little thriller and yes, Denise Richards was quite memorable in it.
