This make me very happy. his music has added a new dimension to the series. Some of my favorite tracks from him include:
MGS2 Main Theme
Opening Infiltration
Twilight sniping
Comradeship (probably his best! The way it builds up with the scene is incredible)
Battle In The Base
Metal Gear Solid Main Theme (Metal Gear Solid 3 Version)
Clash With Evil Personified
Sidecar- Escape From The Fortress
Old Snake
Metal Gear Saga
Abvsolutely!!! Its keeps getting better and better for me as I view more footage!!
I think anybody actually paying attention to the footage is saying that. This game is gonna bring in a sh*tload of new Metal Gear fans.
I hope so. Could you imagine finding this new game at this point in the series, and having the adventure of going through all the material for the first time...it would be mind blowing!

First impressions are, I am underwhelmed by the voice acting. Everyone sounds somewhat similar and.....generic. There was no sense of gravitas at all for me. So far, I am unimpressed with the voice acting but I'm still looking forward to this game and I do hope the VA gets better as this little snippet isn't much to go on considering the expansiveness of the game but for now, I'm a little disappointed.
once again.
Now, onto my notes about the trailer.
I was hoping to see some gameplay, too, even though we've seen plenty of GZ gameplay recently (and a little Phantom Pain gameplay), but I still wanted to see some English gameplay. As it stands, I wasn't surprised to see the opening cutscene of Ground Zeroes. It's been a year since it was first unveiled, and it still looks as beautiful as ever (though, because my laptop's pretty old, I had to tone down the HD on that video), even if I was a little underwhelmed by whoever the hell is playing Skull F*ck (Skull Face! I meant Skull Face!). (Note: If you ever play Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, listen to the main bad guy, Singularity, because Skull Face sounds a lot like him.) Robin Atkin Downes gave his usual performance as Miller, and I'm not surprised to see Antony Del Rio, Tara Strong and Christopher Randolph returning (your reasons behind David Hayter's replacement are dwindling, Kojima...). Kiefer Sutherland did a decent job as Big Boss, but I can't hide the fact that I'm used to David Hayter. It was especially odd to hear Jack Bauer saying "Kept you waiting, huh?". About as odd as it was to hear Solid Snake saying "Great shot kid, that was one in a million!" in the MGS2DGN (he also said it a little too fast). Once I hear him say "Dammit!" I'll probably be right at home with his voice, but until then...
I noticed that amid the new cast and crew credits, the title "Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes" was now absent. I wonder if this is to hint at both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain being released on the same disc.
Overall, Ground Zeroes just seems like more of the same Peace Walker-type stuff. Just like any Metal Gear game (with the exception of Rising, which I had to force myself to play), I can't wait to play this. One thing I hope for is that Major Zero (which I briefly misspelled "Zeroes", and not on purpose) actually put in an appearance, and not as a quadriplegic vegetable.
1) Rising's digital download price has now been cut, and you get the DLC free! This is probably the closest Rising is ever getting to a Substance/Subsistence release, so get it while it takes a sh*tload of time to download!

2) Ground Zeroes will be released Spring 2014, with a likely Fall 2014 release for The Phantom Pain. It seems Ground Zeroes will actually be a disc-based release, as well as a download, so who else is joining me in paying for a glorified Tanker Chapter before having to wait for the Plant?

That doesn't take as long as it probably should. I miss the dog tags. Hell, I had fun hunting them down in Twin Snakes, and they don't even do anything.
