If Fleming never saw the need to do it that's good enough for me.
They were going to bring Bach back for AVTAK but opted out for Pola Ivanova so there is that.
I don't get it. Is that dead Solange and dead Jill Masterson?
I agree actually I wouldn't like any Bond girl to comeback in that same character. Im just open to the idea of an actress who was a Bond girl come back with a whole different character and story.
Make that the Order of the Day as far as I'm concerned.
Obviously it could be any Bond girl. Whether they died or not. Like Vesper.
I know at one point there was a rumor that Vesper was still alive (which is stupid). For me i wish they didn't kill Jill or Solange. Wish I saw them in another film.
You mean Spectre the movie or Spectre the organization?
Because personally im not such a big fan of the Spectre organization. I prefer the villains with different motives every diferent film.
I was interested of seing how would blofeld look like these days and how the whole organization would change but on the other hand i was like ughh herevthey come back again.
I didn't mind it much in the 60s and liked they Villians the chose before Blofeld was revealed but in these days they will milk the whole Spectre thing for a long time and again Spectre is an impediment these days for standalone missions especially because Blofeld is still alive.
I hope they just kill Blofeld as soon as possible and we get back to different villains per film, but I don't think they will they didn't bring him back to kill him right away.
I guess it's not that bad they brought him back just how soon they did, maybe they should just have stayed Franz Overhouser and let him be Bond 's foster brother and keep Blofeld as a mystery.
It's weird. I loved Spectre the film and its the movie which made me see Craig in a much better light but hatted the effect it had on the franchise.
It really forced the producers to make some direct sequels like if it was Batman or another reboot.
Of Craig era, I might suggest Olga or Caterina in a future role, but with Moore and Maud there had been several films in between Golden Gun and OP. With the Craig era not so much. There I go again. Funny how I can take any topic and turn it into a rant on the lengthy gaps between Craig outings.
Bond films are guilty of relying the same old character tropes, but they always introduce new actors into the series.
There was so much scope to bring back someone like Honey Ryder back in the 60's, but they never did. Ursula Andress became a bonafide Hollywood star for a while in the decade and it would have made commercial sense to bring her back. She was iconic in that role and part of me would have loved to see Honey again. I know that they considered the idea for LALD, but they didn't go down that route.
But I'm glad they didn't, because we got to meet other interesting characters played by a host of international beauties. I imagine Cubby's desire to cast a new beautiful woman each time was partly the reason for this.
The same principle applies to the villians (Jaws aside). It would have been the savvy business move to introduce Gert Frobe as Goldfinger's brother or to reanimate Oddjob, but they never did this.
I kinda hope the tradition is maintained. Regardless of the interconnectivity of the Craig films, each of the four movies stands on its own terms. Each has its own distinct villain, plot and leading lady.
However, it would be great if Madeline came back for Bond 25, just because I feel there is a still a story to be told there. Also the character was criminally under-explored, despite this Lea was a real brightspark in the film; bringing such vulnerability and pathos to SP. Even when she had awful cringe-worthy dialogue like "two Jameses...lucky me".
I thought that was one of the few legitimately funny moments of SP.
So would I but that would been difficult...
Great idea! Just don't let Purvis and Wade & Co. see it! Wouldn't want them to get any ideas...
The Volpe twins. I need to lie down.
It's all too much for one James Bond!
The things he does for England.
